Jon Stewart just ran out and hit Cena with a chair, letting Rollins win and get the U.S. title.

Seeing a NXT event in Brooklyn live with that crowd was a pretty fun experience. Crowd was hot the entire night and popped for nearly every match. I was pretty surprised how loud we all popped when the Vaudvillains won the titles. Oh right, forgot Blue Pants. Yeah the pop was loud as fuck.

Though we all went insane when Bayley won. It's a shame that wasn't the final match because we were very clearly into that match more than the Balor/Owens match. Even my girl thought the womens title match was awesome. She also agreed that Eva Marie was terrible. She said, and I paraphrase "I don't even watch wrestling and I can tell she's awful"

Few funny things:
The big screen was off during the majority of the Balor/Owens match which might have lead to us not being as into it, since a lot of the crowd could barely see it. There were a bunch of chants to put the screen on and when they finally got it fixed we popped pretty loud.
Also at the beginning of the match you can see an orange streamer fly into the ring. The dude threw a bunch of them and they landed all around the commentators. He got ejected but then was allowed back in. If you noticed the crowd pops randomly a bit into the match, it's because we saw the guy coming back in to the arena.

One of the dark matches was a four way match between Dana Brookes, Emma, Charlotte, and Becky Lynch. The end was botched when Emma did her bottom turnbuckle splash move on Becky and she forgot to kick out. But they managed to salvage the ending by having Charlotte attach Emma and her music played anyway.

Didn't go to Summerslam, just watched it on the network. Thought it was ok. Legit surprised by Rollins winning the US title. Not really sure where this is going honestly. Ownens/Cesaro was super fun.

Theres a lot of people who are bitching about the Taker/Lesnar ending but I thought it was pretty good. It protected Lesnar and allowed Taker to "win". I heard some people say we'll see them go again at Survivor Series which is Takers 25th anniversary.

NXT had a stellar PPV.  I gotta go back and start watching NXT in this awesome incarnation from the beginning now.  I've missed too much.

This Kane shit is seriously distinguished mentally-challenged. On the plus side the US and Intercontinental title stuff is actually interesting. KO smashing dudes left and right and making Ryback look like a moran, and Cena actually having good matches almost weekly. Kinda nice to see those titles shining for once.

I'm pleased with the Dudley's being around though it's obvious they don't play as well on PG tv

The ending to Bayley/Banks was weak.  :(

spoiler (click to show/hide)
It makes no sense for Sasha to tap out especially when she could hear the crowd counting down.  Going into overtime -> having Bayley reapply her submission hold and then having Sasha tap would've been a better finish

I need to watch that special.  I just caught Asuka's match, which wasn't quite as awesome as I'd hoped, but I'm still marking out for her.   :doge

I read that Bayley might be getting a massive push when she gets called up.  Will believe it when I see it.  I still think that the WWE should create a Divas wrestling show.  Like make that take the place of Main Event or something for an hour.

Sucks that Rollins injured...Rollins...but this also means that the WWE is forced to change shit up.  Roman is zzzzz but maybe we'll get a new *good* top heel in place.  I just don't know who it should be.  Watch them just turn Ambrose heel.

If they were smart, they'd do something totally out of left field and put the belt on Kevin Owens.

But real talk, we all know it's gonna be Roman and he's gonna end up feuding with a procession of shitty heels. The only way that would be good is if they had him feud with Bray, who is criminally underused, but apparently they're setting up a Wyatt Family/Shittaker & Kane feud, so meh.

That the worst PPV in a long time, and that's really saying a lot given how awful most shows are.

I missed the pre-show-- there was another traditional SS match on it...with a returning Goldust and the Dudleys involved.  Hilarious that this was the pre-show.

This shit is so fucking bad.  WHY AM I STILL PAYING FOR THE NETWORK?

Yeah, of all the realistic possibilities, Sheamus is pretty much the worst. I actually think that having the belt on Reigns would have been worse, though. The crowd hates him right now.

I still say letting Owens have a title run would have been the smartest/gutsiest thing to do, but, you know, WWE gonna WWE.

Sheamus is way worse than Cena.
Maybe so but he's better than Reigns imo. He's a better talker than Reigns, better heel than Reigns is a face, and though he looks stupid that gives the crowd something to chant every time he shows up. Plus he's probably only gonna have it til Royal Rumble and Brock shows up to get it back.

Reigns needs to be a heel and needs a manager to talk for him.  It's that simple.  And they're totally going the Rocky Maivia route with him instead.  Maybe he'll go the Rock route and surprise everybody as a heel.  Or maybe he'll be another Cena.  The latter is sadly more likely.

Well there were plenty of dueling "Let's go Roman/Roman sucks" chants last night so he's well on his way to Cenatown.

Last night would have a been a perfect opportunity for him to turn heel too. Have HHH interfere or something on his behalf at the end, boom done. Then let HHH be his mouthpiece, which I'm sure he'd be more than happy to do.

Hell, I would have been down with letting Owens beat Ambrose and having Reigns cheat to beat Owens. Then Ambrose could win the Rumble and we'd have a legit cool setup for Mania.

If they're really invested in having Reigns be at the top of the card, they should have had Ambrose (who is more over as a face and better suited to it) go over on him last night, then they could do a slow burn heel turn with Reigns where jealousy gets the better of him. Jesus, it's like the people booking WWE can't book or something (this is true)

I'm honestly really not invested in this shit anymore so when I watch I'm generally just shrug at all the directions they take.

So that being said.

Survivor Series was ok. The SS match was fun. Taker/Kane vs. Wyatts was fun, Reigns vs. Ambrose was fun.

The swerve ending was fun.

Whatever.

I don't think anyone is invested in this shit.  Survivor Series was complete garbage.  The ending was predictable as hell-- even with the celebration going on, there was still time to fill on the show so it was obvious something was going to happen.
