I haven't posted here in a long time.

Lakutis's album came out yesterday and it's pretty good.  some of it is uh heavily influenced by other artists, but when he drops that and does his own thing it's quite good.  hard and weird.

really into the new Doppelgangaz too

Was turned onto this but I ignored it because I was busy with some other stuff.  it's fucking great.  Right in that noise rap wheelhouse I'm into.  The full mixtape has some killer shit on it.

I'm hesitant to post the Young Fathers here because it's more than just rap, but I think there's enough bleedover that my weird rap people will be into it

I also think you guys are way wrong on that Isaiah Rashad album.  It captures perfectly a sense of place while also hitting that feeling of being disconnected from your surroundings.  I think I've listened to that more than any other album this year

The new Lakutis is way better than I was expecting. Also still bumping Nell's Vice City, Nacho Picasso's Trances With Wolves, Kool A.D.'s Not Okay, Lord Steppington, and the E&J Album. I downloaded the Lil Herb too, can't wait to check that out. And Aston's 3:16 listening party is tonight, can't wait for that shit.

Bones's Deadboy and Bladee's Glue are albums that I also love, but are kind of guilty pleasures.

Agreed even if I think it's a bit unfocused in places.  I've been seeing him live for a while so I know that some of these songs are old as hell.  I just checked and I can't believe it's been 3 years since his last release.  Sicksentz's beat is crazy on Black Swann though It kind of slides into that Death Grips territory (even as Lakutis kind of picks up an MC Ride flow)

still dig this.

Speaking of trap, the new Weekend Money is very good.  I liked the first release but this one is much better.  It's a bit more vulnerable so it steps outside the confines of the first EP's swag rap parameters.  Very good production.

I'll cover the domain costs and server costs each month, but I would like help designing the website and with writing reviews. I'm surprised he hasn't, especially after he pushed two security guards in Portland. If someone with a rap sheet had done that they'd have tazed his ass and given him a drug charge.

You'd think people would have learned to not provoke him. But yeah I'm surprised he hasn't faced any lawsuits from that.

Kendrick fucked over his homie. The sequencing ruins Oxymoron. Tried someone else's sequencing of the tracks and ended up listening to it all day. Smh. Looking forward once again to seeing him live next week.

Not hyped actually, Waka has been hanging with Steve Aoki too much and listening to bro-step like it's some sort of revolutionary thing. "I'ma show you a different Flockaveli this time. Way more turned up. Different crowds now. I'm touching different genres. This Flockaveli gon' be flexin" - WAKA

The adlibs and voices are a big part of what sets Q apart from others, and Kendrick's voices have great utility in enabling him to play different characters and speak from different perspectives within the same song. It's actually pretty ingenious sometimes, especially on an epic like Sing About Me/Dying of Thirst or the incredible b-side Cartoons & Cereal. I'm feeling that review mostly, though I definitely don't wanna ever hear Collard Greens again, and I think Gangsta is pretty straight.

Definitely not cleverly used, but I think Q thinks the more he uses them the more people will like them. It's a method that has worked for Lil B in many facets lol

Man people were fronting so hard on War Ready. That shit is a fucking Odyssey epic banger. I might speed to it later today.

It's been a while since I've heard a song with this many gunfire samples. :lol

Jeezy and the beat are on point, but I don't know how I feel about this hook.

Mastaminds greatest accomplishment is making me like a song with both kanye and medium Sean on it. Normally I'd rather punch myself in the dick until I pissed blood than listen to something with both those fuckshits on it, and yet that song is so fucking good.

War readys beat it superb. The hook however is one of the worst things ever put on wax. Whomever is responsible should be beaten with a sack of doorknobs.

I don't even care if you're joking, cause this record has been the only playlist I've listened to since it dropped. Only song on there I'd call filler is the one with Wayne and he doesn't even suck too hard on it.
