All kidding aside, I am starting to get concerned about my parents. They are not that old(Both are 60), but my dad has a pre existing lung condition, but continues to go to work. The response here is to pretend that nothing is happening until it’s too late and then try some reactionary measures.  :-\

Sorry meant submission is in a few weeks - the conference is in July.  Attendance is usually 3000+

All it took was 3 months of me not working at a school, and the government shuts them down for two weeks. Where is my paid time off.  :maf

Gatherings of more than a 100 people banned. No schools open. People employed by the state sent home for the most part. We truly live in a society, Ellie.

Dunno I bought extra paper too.

Already did some extra shopping yesterday on a hunch (pastas, rice, canned fish). When we got word at work we'd be sent home I called my wife and she did extra groceries online (baby food, frozen meats etc). And on the way home I did big shopping too buying stufd that doesnt need refrigeration (flower, oatmeal, soups, lentils).

Tomorrow well prob order a bit more even, fresh foods.

I think we already have enough at home to survive for two weeks now without leaving the house. It wouldnt be fine but wed make it.

Got a bottle of Merlot and some beers too cause fuck it.

Got some frozen stuff, some canned stuff and generally the ingredients for stuff that can be eaten for 2-3 days like stuff for a stew.

Yeah, feel kinda the same way. My parents are both 60-ish and my grandpa is 87 [also, he can't stand staying at home and is constantly going somewhere].

These universities have no clue about switching mid-semester to online only they don't pay attention to their own online and split courses and how poorly those go by default. They're going to REGRET THIS!!!!
