Himu they're not going to let you back on esp when you're basically begging for them to now. Mondain is right, GAF is pretty shit, when I go into a thread now I have to tread through various funny "image" posts and clever one liners to find something of substance, which is few and far between.
There are some immense posters there though, I will give them that, hopefully though we can get them here without the added stock fluff.
exactly... it's not exactly a dig at them, but there are far too many people everywhere replying to everything... hordes are NEVER smart
so it all ends up in a lot of biased group-think, and add to that the insane moderation, it all results in some sides of a discussion never being expressed deeply or truthfully... and people agreeing automatically with anything a mod says because it's a dog eat dog place, where the weaks rally upon the strong, hoping not to get abused, and wishing for the other weaks to get banned
so anyone who tries to make out an intelligent reasoning out of a GAF thread only has crippled thought processes to decipher
and the humor is awful, it also has an incredibly mediocre level of signal to noise ratio... in order to read long, good posts, how many hundreds of catchphrases, fake drama posts and forum pics does one have to bear in any given topic?
yeah there are a lot of dumbfucks on OA, and too many stupid Xbots... but hey it's like on any forum, you got to ignore the imbeciles and only rely on the level-headed posters... but some of the uncensored opinions over there are really incredibly brilliant and real, because the taboo aspects of any topic aren't repressed, and naive opinions are discarded very brutally
enough not to make me wish to post on GAF ever again
