He's not going to be modding dude.  And that was said earlier in that thread.  He's the liaison to the NPD, and he got the mod role so he could police the NPD threads, which none of the other mods particularly like going in.  He'll know which numbers are "legit" for GAF and which aren't.

How is that a job, especially now that nearly everyone knows that the numbers will be on OA? GAF's "exclusive" info is useless now.

Believe it or not, the NPD stuff is being taken seriously.  GAF is apparently the first non-paying party that the NPD has dealt with, and they deal with far more fields than games.  Maybe better info will be available illicitly at OA, but neoGAF is trying to do things legits.

I have a solution. It's a two part plan.

Step 1: Ban all of the Nintendo fans.

Step 2: Delete the gaming forum. Then ban anyone who tries to post gaming stuff in the OT.

This accomplishes the goal of speeding up the forum, and it also has the added benefit of getting rid of the most undesirable elements of the forum as well. Win-win!
