Still can't easily buy the former if you own the latter. (The pages will say you already own it, even though you don't.) But you can pay twice as much for the DLC!

Gothic 1 is very good but archaic controls even by 90's PC RPGs from Europe.
Gothic 2 is the pinnacle of the series: flawless.
Gothic 3 looks amazing but is dumbed down in many areas.
Can't say anything about Gothic 4.

Lost Planet 2 is still too expensive. Capcom sucks at pricing like always.

If this follows DMC4/RE5 pattern, it should be $15 at xmas sale and then $10 at spring 2012 sale. Will wait and grab it then.

yes, and go for L4D2. It's only $5 (4 pack is 15 I think).

it's a co-op shooter. you and three others fight zombies and it doesn't require precision firing or high skill to play and enjoy. though, there is a versus/competitive mode that has player controlled zombies versus survivors. I mean infected or whatever zombies are called in it.

are there mods for NV worth getting? I played vanilla (except for one making the interface smaller and more manageable for PCs)

also, how is Jamestown? I know it's a shooter, but is it more like a bullet hell shooter or more like Aleste or R-type type shooters?

and yeah, Capcom is terrible at this sales thing. Bionic Commando bombed hard, right? it came out in 2009 and it's still $10. Activision is more generous than that! one daily deal will be Dark Void for $15.

I don't think so. System files in NV are held in self-contained archives, separate from mod files. You may have to reinstall your OMODs though, I'm not sure on those.

I'm still having the same problem with the steam app ever since the DCharlie transaction, by the way: every time I start the app I get the gift prompt from you (I'm assuming for the very same game). When I try opening it, ignoring it or what have you, I get "this key has been revoked" etc etc. Stupid sale period craziness must have glitched the thing on me, and now I just want it to stop and don't know how!
