As far as presentations go, the Direct was solid. It started rough with the banter and Smash DLC, but the pace picked up after that and didnt stop. Big contrast to Microsoft which hit the snooze button after Keaneu. So much was being shown it was hard to post about it.
The Japanese 3rd party support is incredible. Probably the strongest for Nintendo since the SNES. They have Japan locked up tight for the next 2 years. if you're a Japanese company and you're not on Switch, you dont exist.
Western 3rd party support is decent in terms of ports. Games like Alien and Witcher havent been on a Nintendo console since the first year of Gamecube when all three consoles got all the games. Nothing original or exclusive though. If I was an EA shareholder, I'd be calling for blood.
Zelda remake looks great, and Luigi will be fun.
Animal Crossing looks good, but the delay is heartbreaking. Literally ruined Christmas.
And absolutely shocked at the lack of new Nintendo announcements.
Where was the heavily rumored action-adventure mystery game led fan-favorite character Krystal? Where was Pilotwings? Why does Nintendo no longer make budget titles like Mario Golf or Wave Race?
And where were my beloved squids?
Also, release the Mario kart arcade titles as a compilation you cowards.
