I was always taught to take your shoes off when entering a new home, so I usually do unless everyone else there is wearing shoes.

I see plenty of black people who don't take their shoes off at the front door, so I can't say it's a white thing. My mom would kill me if I did it though, unless the person's house was dirty and they were walking around in shoes; at that point she'd basically say "don't get your socks dirty, just wear your shoes"

I wear glasses when I'm too lazy to pull on contacts, which is most of the time. My conservative parents are probably the only people that I think I look better with glasses.

This is the pair I'm currently wearing. It's dorky but dependable. It got knocked off a couple of times last week when I was dumb enough to not wear contacts during basketball but luckily it didn't suffer any noticeable damage.

I'm sick of contacts (on my tenth year) and I hate glasses, they simply don't look good on me. I'm getting LASIK'd in a week or so. Fingers crossed they don't screw it up, I don't want to be able to look into the future for the rest of my life.
