I do remember TLoU ost being rather good. Can't speak on Part 2. Discussions about that game get weedy with extracurricular culture war fighting muddying the waters with people accusing it of "SJW that" or "it features a person of X sexuality in a AAA game so it must be praised." And I mean way before the game even came out it seemed like people made up their mind on making this some kind of battleground.
I ain't even talking about execution of story which I know has had some legitimate critiques that aren't tainted by the crap I wrote about above. But even that is then used as ammo by some where it's an excuse to hide the more disingenuous nonsense they were spouting before. In other words. I look forward to people having normal mature conversations about that game in 10 years.
Essentially it's too much like "I hate that purple haired bitch in Star Wars 8 and all this feminism crap" which has tainted real discussion like "oh hey I think these characters didn't work so well, and this part of the movie seemed to lose meaning in the greater plot. This character also got the short end of the stick in terms of how they were almost not even used in the next episode which is kinda weird since they looked like they would have a rather large part".
It's just not good right now. Childish at best, hateful at worst. I mean you can find level headed individuals who will talk about it without going all:
and
, but on nerdy message boards right now? Nah. As a whole the community has ways to go.
BUT, HardcoreRetro I don't mean to suggest that you are playing into that. This wasn't meant to be a roundabout way of calling you out.
By that I mean you could have really replaced that title with something like Red Dead Redemption 2 or any other massive AAA title that did well in North America and Europe and the joke would essentially land just the same.

And I guess to top it all off. As far as awards go for music. I really have have a low opinion on the Grammy's (they just seemed completely out of touch and bought off). The VGAs (even if they gave it to an OST I thought was excellent), well, y'know it's about the same as MTV Awards. I wouldnt tell a winner that they shouldn't be happy, but I would also tell the loser that you have nothing to be sad about in the slightest. It's not really semi-objective like sport awards where you can really argue the statistical greatness of a player and their play at a specific position and how important they are to a team. Art is art. It's extremely subjective, but these award shows aren't really based on pure enthusiasm for the medium as much as they are a vague popularity contest and marketing tool.
