Thanks for the compliments, guys, but I wasn't the principal designer. I was just a peon that gave suggestions here and there. The architecture firm I worked with at the time was small so it was a tight knit group where everybody shared ideas and we all had to pull together to get projects put together. I was the only one in the firm with an interior design background and had training in 3D modeling and sustainable design so they were always interested when I could point out shortcuts, finishes, fixtures,...etc.

Yeah, kind of bummed some of the cooler features didn't go through. The city has a very narrow view of what is and is not acceptable on their streets.

No I haven't! I'd like to sometime though. I usually don't (like to) hang out in that whole east side of the East Bay all that much. The culture there is all very snooty, closed minded and overbearing to me. But they have the money.
What were your suggestions?
I love concrete so I pushed a lot of concrete in this project (and others XD), exposed lamp (aka bulbs) fixtures, wooding siding,...etc. The signage was also "designed" by me...I didn't think they'd actually use it, it was initially supposed to be just a place holder until they got a real graphic designer to create something for them. :X They even used the same font!
I also suggested an exhibition kitchen that can be viewed from the sidewalk but Walnut Creek said "NO WAI FUK U." :'(
