Joan's an idiot - she shouldn't have used that platform, at this time to address her grievances... and the bottom part of her message is abhorrent, but a lot of what she says has happened down there is true.
Agreed. The real response to the ways in which the black community has been taken advantage of historically is pure cash reparations.

What I will defend is her depiction of what's happened in the Greenville section of the city in the last 3-4 years. And how do I know? I live there - I've seen it.

That thread alone would honestly warrant an "Era has an antisemitism problem" thread. Modern blood libel bullshit, deflection, complaints about a community that are indistinguishable from right-wing immigration rhetoric, other standard Jewish conspiracies about money; it's pretty damn overt. That Poodlestrike came in with a staff post, basically exonerating all the disgusting shit posted prior to that, really doesn't live up to the apparent commitment toward the minority communities of Era.
But I guess it doesn't really matter much since most of the Jewish community there is just gone, so any harsh moderation would only protect the fair weather allies that only care about Jews that have progressive beliefs and hate Israel.
It's pretty similar to the Asian community and their exit from the site, though they were more invisible as far as this shit went while there's active malice against Jews there. Sure, there's some representation on the staff, but there was also trans representation and look how that turned out.
