Wifey made me watch the Ranch on Netflix this weekend.

It's basically that 70's show with Sam Elliot as Red Foreman.

7.5/10

It's better than I thought it would be actually.

The Girlfriend Experience is really pretty. I'm not sure that anything actually happened plotwise in the first two episodes though.

The promos make it look like it turns into a spy thriller. :lol

http://deadline.com/2016/04/castle-stana-katic-exit-season-9-tamala-jones-out-1201739022/

Well, that's sad:
Quote
While the studio started making overtures to Fillion for a new deal months ago and has been in on- and off- talks with him since the beginning of the year, I hear Katic was never approached to re-up her contract and was not offered an opportunity to continue on the show. Instead, I hear she, as well as Jones, were informed late last week that for budgetary reasons, they won’t be asked to come back for Season 9.

No, not really.  Great characters, plot is kind of basic.

I watched one episode of S2 and quit the show. The entire show is cheesy and while it has its moments...overall it was just too much for me. One day I'll give it another shot.

Danny McBride and Walton Goggins in the same show is a instant watch.

Its nice being excited for a HBO show, last time that happened was True Detective season 1.

Well you know I gotta support wifey  :doge

I love the atmosphere of Twin Peaks. It reminds me so much of various points in my life. Conversations, laughs, arguments, etc held outside as the wind blew through the trees and the world just seemed alive. Especially when I'd travel to a small town or city.

But the cheese factor brehs. Like in S1 when the hot chick got beat by her bf with a piece of soap in a sock.  :lol

I'll try again...

I liked the first episode of Silicon Valley S3 quite a bit.

SV is what I put on in the background when I want to be productive.  Gone though season 1 and 2 like 10 times now.  Very happy season 3 is here.

Best character is the smoothing talking black con man guy but yea, they took a seemingly exciting topic (zombie apocalypse as its happening!) and found a way to make it the dullest fucking thing ever. So it fits right in with TWD.

It's trash. I don't know why I struggled through the first season. How do you take a surefire dope idea - zombies in LA - and fuck it up. The only redeeming factors were the cool black dude and the hot pawg daughter. I might watch S2 but not anytime soon.

BTW Walking Dead's last season was pretty cool. They've been repeating the same ideas for awhile, so I thought it was interesting that something actually different has happened. When you realize you ain't the king of the jungle after all

I guess I'll finally come out and admit it...I've finally gotten into Doctor Who  :doge

I knew the camp was part of the package but I couldn't get through the first couple episodes before and never wanted to try. Gave it another go on Netflix a month or two back and now I'm up to S5 w/ Matt Smith.

It really is a show you can come home from work and chill and knock an episode or two out. It's funny, dumb and always clever. Really appreciative to have such a backlog to go through.

Haven't seen the last 3 seasons. Interest pretty much died the episode Rory/Amy left.

Season 5 has so many good episodes and it feels like the perfect balance between serialized and episodic.

I don't like Doctor Who, but I like Eccleston so much that I bought his season and enjoyed it. I like Tennant as an actor just fine, but I have not managed to struggle through much of his run, which is doubly odd because I have an unnatural attraction to Billy Piper's unusual face.

Well this is interesting to me. I detest what I've seen of Doctor Who -- Tennant era -- but Christopher Eccleston has been fucking incredible in The Leftovers. Almost considering watching just on that basis.

A lot of the die hards and fangirls in particular ride hide for Tennant era but it's the most inconsistent. For every great ep theres 3 or 4 absolutely miserable ones. Almost the entire Martha season is trash and the Donna eps are barely better.

I finished the available season of The Expanse. It was strange to me that they announce s2 so soon, but now I see that they couldn't have done otherwise. The first season doesn't finish any of its storylines, and ends about ⅔ of the way through the first book.

But, my god, that line was brilliant. Best show on TV. The great part about it was most other characters saying that wouldn't be out of place, it'd be an OK joke. But that guy saying it? I had the misfortune drinking water when he said it. There was water everywhere.

Yeah, it's not quite a cliffhanger season ending, but close enough. Nothing is resolved, no-one is safe. Shit, there's not even a clear direction on who is to blame. Thomas Jane is fantastic in this. Looks like he's lost weight; I wonder, was it to try and make him look more slender and long, like a Belter?

At the office I saw a colleague of mine that I hadn't seen in months in the hallway who I know is a huge SV fan. I was like "Hey Parm! That's a nice chain!"

He replied in his british accent, "Yeah, I choke my mom with it when my penis is in her butthole!"

We gave each other a bro hug all like :mynicca

Everyone one else in the hallway looked on like  :crazy
