Really liking BFFs.  The chemistry between the leads is excellent.

I have been persuaded to give Girls another chance.  Everything I've read from people who've seen the first three episodes say that it's damn good while most criticism seems to come from the first episode.  Granted unless you saw it at SXSW or wherever you've only seen the first episode, so that's all we have to go on.

Finished S2 of The Walking Dead last night.  Finally Rick grows some balls!!! I really liked the ending.  It seems like the show has really found its footing after taking two seasons to identify a niche for each character.  My favorite line...

GoT S1 starts out slow and suffers from some average cinematography early; the directors and DPs decided to shoot it like a regular television show for some reason. But the second half picks up significantly, and the last couple eps are especially impressive.

Is this seriously the way you would introduce GoT to someone? Most people watch the first episode and then become addicted like a crack whore.

It's not the best episode, but it's still incredibly good compared to any other pilots.

The pilot is good but the following episodes are slow. As a huge fan I can't help but be honest

There were parts of the first episode that I didn't care for. The smug sense of entitlement got old fast (I get that we're not supposed to agree with Hannah's selfish worldview), but the dude's comment about wood working being real work and then saying how his granmda sends him $800 a month was brilliant. Overall, though, I still loved it.

Maybe I can understand that. But I get the feeling that the setting of the show is too intimidating for some people to try getting into it. With being a (light) fantasy and having a big ass book series behind it, people may be worried there is something that they wouldn't like or wouldn't understand in the story.

Does the episode of Fringe indicate that there will be a fifth season? It seems like a diversion only a show with a future can take.

That being said, Georgina Haig is cute as a button.

I thought Veep was okay but not amazing or anything. My main problem is that it felt like a british show with those sensibilities but with American actors trying to mimic those sensibilities. I'd rather just have the brit version in that case.

Thought Veep ep1 started kind of slow but by the end it was getting better and had some good bits.  In the Loop is pretty much the best comedy in the last decade imo, so if he can pull off anything near that this will be great.  The camera work was basically identical to that film.  I don't think the actors/actresses are as good in this unfortunately, which is a bit of problem since it's all about comedic timing; but they'll probably grow into their roles and improve.  I thought the absolute best performance by far was the Veep's main female aid who was in In the Loop.  She absolutely nails it and is so great to watch, her and the White House intern guy's interactions are straight out of In the Loop and very entertaining.  The stuff between the PR guy and the Dan guy was really great as well.

I don't find Dreyfus funny at all in this, but if she is the straight (wo)man and all of the staffers bring the comedy, I'm in.

Anyway, Revenge was ballstothewalls insane tonight. Most complex show on TV? Probably.

I tried watching the Girls pilot but didn't finish the episode. It may just be the way they talk that is annoying me. I'm not sure. I liked the opening scene, but then they introduce that guy and its like.. why are they talking like this.

Also Best Friends Forever is pretty amazing.  Great ensemble cast which interacts in a very good way.

For shame.

Yeah some of it is based on the xfm broadcasts and some of it from the podcasts. But yeah its brilliant. I actually prefer the source materials but the show does function as a good best of.

tbf, all he does is laugh at what Karl thinks and says. That's 80% of his screentime. I don't know how much he plans the show versus that producer guy.

I've avoided reality television since its inception, but my sister watches Celebrity Apprentice and Survivor with regularity, so I have glommed on for the ride.

First off, Celebrity Apprentice lost Adam Carrola while I was in Japan -- my interest level dropped 30%. Two weeks ago they lost Penn Jillette. There is no reason to watch this anymore.

Now we're stuck with Arsenio Hall, Lisa Lampanelli, Aubrey O'Day, some New Jersey Housewife, and Clay Aiken. The only likable character is the one for whom I can't remember her name. The weird thing is, the show is only ever to get 3rd-rate clients to work with. Good Sam, Entertainment.com coupon books... it is hard to see why there can't be somewhat better brands associated with the show, considering they are paying for nearly hour-long product placement on a popular show. It is all very half-assed.

I know there is an art to the editing of each program. The editing really determines who is the hero or villain of each piece. That said, jesus, I will take a pass on ever working with any of the remaining talent. Lisa Lampanelli cries and becomes vocally abusive, meanwhile claiming to being the victim if anyone else ever uses those tactics. Clay Aiken is just about the cattiest guy I've ever seen. Aubrey... I don't even think I could get the energy up for a good hate-fuck.

And then on Survivor, I just watched the women wage a six-against-one gender war against Troyzan. And the aged name-stealer "Tarzan" has opted to side with the women, so I'm considering him a gender-traitor. Then again, I'm happier to see tanned, athletic looking women onscreen in skivvies, in HD, so the men can all lose. Maybe Tarzan's smarter than I'm crediting him for.

I feel like my interests have been hijacked.
