I'm back in Japan right now. That's Japanese beef, bought at a neighborhood butcher. Wa-gyu = way good. I diced the remaining tidbits with some mushrooms and made a killer omelette for breakfast the next morning.
FWIW, I moved to the USA for two months, interviewed various places, attended GDC, and then came back for my daughter's school ceremonies. The night before I left to come back to Japan, I received a job offer from the place I wanted to be at the most, so I accepted. I've got another couple weeks here, and then will be back in the USA to start work.
