Those were even better when they gave them a minute to talk, but they changed it to 30 seconds after they came back from break. One caller googled the names of one the guy's family members and just listed them. The idea of having a community forum go to zoom and then have the callers be mostly anonymous was a pretty insane one.

I do feel like a lot has changed in terms of protest tactics due to social media though, and something that makes it different from hong kong. The fact that all it takes is one protestor to film something like this and not require a news crew there to witness it and then have it get picked up by the media later makes it a lot harder for police to use force - at least in the daylight. At least I don't remember the hail of news stores about Twitter posts in past riots or protests.
