I have 2 guest passes for Killing Floor now..gonna try to give the given one back to the person that gave it to me, then see if my 2 player partner wants it.  Can you give a guest pass back? Neither are activated.

Whenever you craft something, there's an infinitesimal chance of crafting a Golden Wrench instead. They're limited to 100; they started appearing over the weekend and so far 26 have been found.

I played my first game in a while.  I'm so bad  :'(

but seriously, Valve is so mean.  They broadcast when someone gets a gold wrench to make everyone panic.  Then when you calm down, you see some fat german kid got the next one.

The moon game was pretty interesting.  It's hardly a game, though.  You and a few guys just repair a moon base.  Because you move so slow and clunky you need to work together, so one guy carries things and puts them into place while you repair them.  14 or so minutes of that and it's over and that's it.

To many engines in TF2.  :yuck  I'll have to wait until next week when the hype dies down to actually try out the new maps.  Payload in particular is my favorite game type so I'm excited to see three new maps for that mode.

new maps are great

I still have no clue how to unlock the weapons.  In one server someone mentioned the ambassador pistol and scrap makes a new wrench, and I did that and forgot that I used the ambassador, so shit.

It works. That's the only way to get Southern Comfort. EVerything else is either Milestones or luck. The achievements in this pack are way, way, way better than the WAR! ones.

I know.  I got the new wrench, but I'm saying that I actually used the ambassador when I played as spy.  Southern Comfort I could take or leave.  When I unlock it, I'll probably stick with the robot hand.

Bought (and beat) Puzzle Agent. Took me about 3 hours, which is I guess about the same as a Sam & Max Episode, but it still seemed really short. I was just getting into it, and then it was over. The story was cool, it was like some kind of Twin Peaks/Lovecraft panache for kids.

Ending was really abrupt.

I felt it was about as long as their normal episodes.  Took me 3 days of night sessions.  But then again I always feel like their normal episodes are too long because they don't give you the satisfaction of a full length adventure game and they aren't short enough to just be a nice short adventure like indie adventures that are 2-3 hours.  I feel like their 6 hour or so length just doesn't work that well.  Especially because a lot of them feel like they're 2 games back to back with a twist in the middle.

T-minus 13 hours.

How can they do free stuff? Is it a micropayment thing, or just a lure to get people on Steam?

This is weird.  The original Mafia game is on Steam, but the only way you can get it is if you preorder the sequel (it's free in the case)  ???

I literally just found a lot of old PC games, including Mafia, or else I'd be tempted to do that.

also, Lead and Gold is getting a free weekend + half off

It is really good but there's some really annoying parts (eg the raceway bit).

I like the charm of it, driving old cars that can barely drive up a hill at more than 10mph, and obeying driving laws.
