I have been a One Piece fan since 2003. I have never lost interest in One Piece, not once, in all these years. This arc makes an exception; I haven't read OP in a month. This arc sucks.

I hope Sanji can hold out for a while and put up a good fight. You know Fujitora is totally fighting against Doflamingo at some point. If him and Law join in with Sanji and crew they could probably take him.

Also the jump (literally) from Law on the boat taking art lady hostage to Law next page being on the bridge and the Sunny has sailed far away was kind of jarring.

It's a good arc, but I think the problem Oda has these days is he makes the arcs too big with too many subplots going and too many characters so at the 20 pages a week schedule it just drags. I mean his fights are extremely compact and quick, probably shorter than any other shounen manga pretty much ever, yet there's so much PLOT the pacing drags. Probably works better in volume form.

splitting up the team to separate adventures/islands honestly makes sense for pacing reasons. Hope they focus entirely on one island's story first and then do the other so the stories can flow better.
