No campaign. The co-op is like some of the stuff in Siege, how many waves you can last against, etc.
They are supposed to be adding more co-op stuff (more modes in general I think), but I don't know what, maybe Nintex can get a hot scoop.
Campaign is canned. The plans looked pretty great but they couldn't pull it off. It was shelved because of the response to the trailer they released.
AAA quality for voice work and animations was simply not feasible with their resources. Even now the third person animations are the weakest part of the presentation.
But if you thought the MP was hardcore... man the SP was something else. It would've been a bit like the co-op with some really fucked up (based on truth) stories.
My brother watched footage of Kurdish fighters in Syria to get inspiration for the SP maps and scenario's. Stuff like the suicide bombers they have in co-op is based on that as well.
The plan was to ship the game with a PTSD warning. They have some ex-military guys working there and felt that the material they were working with could actually trigger PTSD.
The roadmap as it stands is more maps throughout 2019, a console release in 2019 and indeed more modes with bots. Last I heard they wanted to make every mode bot compatible.
It kinda depends on how well the game sells going forward. If it remains a big hit as it is now there's no telling where they will take it.
They didn't necessarily just build a stand-alone game but a 'platform' they can expand and build upon with Sandstorm.
