I have enjoyed how Klepek has fallen to that level while as much as he's been ragged on Jason Schreier has pulled himself up by his bootstraps from a GAF reposter into enough of an actual reporter that his industry sources have led to all those development hell articles that got him a book deal to talk to even more development sources in order to write an entire book on the subject. (That I keep forgetting to check out but have heard good things about, especially if you liked his longform stuff on development of Destiny, Mass Erect Andromeda, etc.)

I don't think Klepek has totally grasped what his years worth of raging against the machine of the industry over GameGate did to shrink his connections.

That's the part that should have really been the lesson about the Bush torture policies. Abu Ghraib's torture was arguably less morally horrific than the administrations actual policy on torture which was clinical, dehumanizing and unchanging as a policy principle and deliberately attempted to circumvent literally every law it could. The Pentagon did go on the warpath through Abu Ghraib's events and dole out punishments and pay damages to victims, while all the rest of the torture the administration was doing was never even touched by most courts. Abu Ghraib was recognized as wrong by the state/government/administration, Rumsfeld even offered his resignation twice over it. Abu Ghraib was ultimately "bad apples" abusing people for that purpose alone, and they knew they'd get punished if it came out hence the shitty cover up attempt, it wasn't a systemically imposed illegal policy deliberately design to accomplish political goals while avoiding any kind of legal check and balance and doing so successfully as all three branches came to an agreement to not talk about it.

I used to play Candy Crush years ago then boycotted King when the story of them bullying a small developer out of business came out.

But I boycotted most 30fps games at the PS2 generation... Simply because I didn’t like how devs wasted the new power and focused more on visuals than gameplay.

I think if you're boycotting someone to avoid giving them money, or funding a racist organisation or an author who donates to homophobic groups, then second-hand is the way to go.

The last night premise is childish. A game where feminism dominated the world and created a distopia? Really? Soret has a distorted vision of the world that fits perfectly with a incel vision of women. I also from today boycott GOG as a store. I have not decided about what to do with Cyberpunk 2077 yet. Seeing that people think The Witcher 3 (which I basically just started playing) handled a genderfluid character in a good way will make me wait for reports on what is in 2077 before I decide if I want to buy it. If it is even released outside of GOG that is.

Yup. I’ll try to sum up. The dad owned a local restaurant and suddenly started thinking himself some sort of “mob boss”. Basically, everyone knows me so that means they fear me, or some shit. Oldest son got into cars and started speeding up and down the street. Ran over someone’s dog too. The daughter started dating some dude who listened to too much Mexican drug lord music and started harassing people in the neighborhood. The youngest tried to start a gang with his friends.

They vandalized property of anyone that complained. Damaged cars, broke windows, some dogs in the neighborhood were poisoned. I installed cameras, documented everything. Eventually some actual gang members caught wind and shot the youngest around the corner. That was enough to get a petition going and put pressure in for an eviction which happened quickly.

Ooh the day of the move the dad first threatened people, myself included, then cried and begged me to ease up and do something to help.

They lost the restaurant soon after since, who in the neighborhood would patronize them.

Long story short is the restaurant that took its place is awesome! Oh, and my neighborhood loves me. Real lesson: don’t put up with shit. People like that aren’t going to just one day realize they’re crap and change.

The mother of my ex-bully called due to her son not sleeping for weeks and being scared of me. Funny thing is that she presented herself as the police but it was a private call (she does work as a police however, making it even worse).
I didn’t really do anything to cause this, somebody spread a rumour that went out of control.
I guess I had earned a reputation though, but that was mostly based on other stories that people made up about me.
So it was a sad sort of revenge. But I prefered being feared than a taco that people chased around town. Not easy being queer and living in the countryside.

My cousin stayed in my room and had to share my bed with me.  While we were usually friendly with each other this situation pissed me off cause my cousin could be a bit of an asshole.  I hated sharing my bed with him cause he would jerk off thinking I didn't know while we were trying to sleep(fuck you I know we were both teenagers but damn least I was more secretive about it)
