I watched a BD-rip of Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie. Still a badass movie, especially the Chun-Li/Vega fight and Ken & Ryu fighting M. Bison.

It still holds up, yeah.  Definitely the best Street Fighter animation and one of the better video game anime out there.  The Fatal Fury movie wasn't bad either, but to me that's kind of unfair since they made a completely new story and didn't have to work within the constraints of making something out of the game's story.  Although the two OVAs based on the games weren't bad either.

Fuck that show for making Blue Destiny look like fodder  :maf

Build Fighters knows exactly what it is, and doesn't try to be anything more. I love it.

the two moments that sold me on it:
-the two girls wondering why there's a giant magic gunpla machine in the gym, then talking about how weird it is for a cool dude like Yuuki to play with toys.
-Ral explaining the magic particles interacting with gunpla plastic to make them alive, then the girl brushing him off with "who is this old man"

show is so good

And about how the gap moe between his image as a cool dude and him playing with toys makes him even hotter. :lol

This thread is just about KLK and Gunpla, so lets discuss the other fine shows this season:

YowaPedal is about biking.

Arpeggio of Blue Steel is fully CG. It has moe submarines.

I like both a lot especially Arpeggio because of it's soundtrack, which everyone should watch so they can listen and experience moe subs.

That's the first Gundam show I've watched in a long, long time.  It's fun but I don't get how it treats all the Gundam stuff as fiction, yet has newtypes.   :dizzy

so searching for random anime,i discovered this thing called sasami-san@ganbaranai and i'm surprised nobody ever suggested it,the plot focus on this shut-in girl called sasami who lack complete motivation to do anything so she just order her brother (who's a total dumb ass and also completly devote to his sister, also for some reason he has his face always covered by a bag) around even for small thing like eating and bathing... the rest of the cast is completed by a trio of sisters who work in the same school as sasami brother, there is a fiery loud one,a lazy calm one and lastly an airheaded dumb blonde and most of the humor come from the sister's just being a bother to sasami

the episode's always start out normaly but the gimmick is that sasami is actualy god or well she was... for some reason her godly power have been transfered to her brother so now everything her brother wish ends up altering the world which make for some pretty "what the fuck?" fantasy scenario, for example the first episode ends
spoiler (click to show/hide)
with the world getting attacked by giant chocolate monster simply because her brother wished for valentine chocolate
[close]

so it has the same premise of haruhi but since the scenario itself are more crazy than "everybody goes playing baseball and they use their power to hit the ball really hard" it's actually fun to watch (that reminds me... do we even have any haruhi fan here on the bore?)

oh also this is drawn by the same artist that's working on the dusk atelier trilogy, you can really see his style in the drawing

Kickstarter by Animeigo to release Bubblegum Crisis on Bluray:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/madoverlord/bubblegum-crisis-ultimate-edition-blu-ray-set

There's also the possibility that the three-episode AD Police OVA will be included, but it doesn't look like they'll be able to add Bubblegum Crash.

Attack on Titan kinda got on my nerve when it went mainstream but I admit, the anime adaptation is superb. Episode 5 in particular made me legit believe in it again.

However, the terrible art in the Manga made some of the plot twists hidden better. Here, it's straight up your face.

i've read as the gods will of those,it's your typical survival manga but the scenario in which they have to survive are all pretty original and based on japanese children game, unfortunately it's the sort of manga that drags and drags and drags so i ended up losing interest

This won't come as a surprise to anyone but Little Witch Academia is great :o I watched it for the first time over the weekend. Such a fantastic episode, I can't wait to see what they do with all the kickstarter money.

Everything was so well realized, nothing felt out of place. Its the most impressed I've been with a show in some time honestly.

finished! i enjoyed this a lot,it was dramatic,it was funny,it had action,it had humor... i found the premise pretty interessing and if i can dare to say it hidari art is so damn cute... my only complaint would be the ending

spoiler (click to show/hide)
on episode 10 they introduce a bunch of villains and it's pretty fucking clear they have absolutely no place there other than providing the climax for the final episode, that feel really weak and half-assed,the whole thing should have finished with her mommy issues resolved

also brother-guy never show his face, that makes me feel sad :fbm

Miura is starting a new miniseries:
Quote
(Image removed from quote.)
Gigantomakhia is Kentarou Miura's new 6-part miniseries, set in a world 100 million years in the future.

The title is a Greek phrase meaning Battle of Giants. It refers to the mythical war between the gods of Olympus and rebelling giants. For a much more rich exploration of Gigantomachia across the ages, check here.

According to an ad in the Nov. 8 issue of Young Animal, Gigantomakhia will run for 6 issues, likely ending in February 2014, with Berserk set to resume afterward.

The first episode will be 44 pages, with one color page.

We'll know a lot more about the series once we get closer to its release, so stay tuned here!

That’s right. After almost 2 years, Teppu is finally coming back. Every issue of Good!Afternoon features at the end a 2-pages spread with news about the next issue, and this time a small box in the issue #36 of Good! Afternoon says that Ohta Moare’s Teppu is coming back in the next edition, in November 7th.
