He showed up twice in GX which was 10 years after the original show (I think.) Pegasus and some other flunkies from the OG show also showed up.

5D's is like 100 years after GX though so no real chance of OG or GX cameos. Zexal and Arc-V take place some stupid amount of time after 5D's too.

Yeah, Ichi the Killer is insane. Kakihara has a pretty, um, interesting fate. Have the triplets been introduced yet?

when i posted the above, yeah the triplet had just been introduced but i had no idea you were talking about them because they are presented as a duo...

anyway i finished reading ichi the killer and at the end it was all like "ehy why you don't try this other manga by the same author?" so i did

this one is called homunculus, a doctor wants to make some experiment about unlocking a potential sixth sense, he does so by picking a random hobo from the road and drilling a hole in his skull... the result is that the hobo now sees some people as weird creatures and some as normal, for example he see a yakuza boss as a robot and a rebel teenage girl as a sand golem, but you see... the people he see as monster actualy have suffered from similiar emotional trauma like his own, so now the duo goes around trying to psycho-analyze all of the people the hobo sees as monsters

it's pretty weird but unlike ichi i feel like i could suggest it to someone without landing on some FBI watch list

...and then you find out how truly insane they are. :lol

Homunculus is great, but doesn't really go anywhere, sadly.

Kindaichi is good shit, yeah.  I keep watching it weekly but keep thinking I should wait until it's over to watch; this is one of those shows where one case runs for multiple episodes and I keep wanting more when the end of episode cliffhanger happens!   :lol

The first case is episodes 1-4 BTW.  I liked the first three, but the ending is beyond dumb:

Blade & Soul: Still watching this; Alka's "I do nothing to stop people from getting killed when I could prevent their deaths so easily" body count is now up to two.  Seriously; who thought having a main character completely devoid of any emotion/personality was a good idea?

Fuck-up #1:
spoiler (click to show/hide)
Alka gets defeated in a previous episode and is flung into a river.  She is feverish and temporary blinded.  Gets rescued by two two orphan kids who still food from the town to survive.  One of them starts using Alka's sword to rob people and ends up killing them too.  She talks to him about what using a sword can do, but ultimately just lets him get killed by soldiers from the town before she steps in and takes them out.
[close]

Fuck-up #2:
spoiler (click to show/hide)
Alka is hired as a bodyguard by some crazy dude who hates that a town is doing well, due to the flowers they grow and harvest (which are ground up and used to get high).  He seems like he has good intentions at first, then goes crazy at the end and tries to kill the village chief.  His helper steps in, a totally innocent girl from another town, and takes the guy's knife, then dies.  All of this happens directly in front of Alka, who is like two steps away, and another character who also is revealed to have crazy combat skills.  Just... :wtf

 :-\  :yuck

i was browsing stuff with my manga reading app yesterday when i somehow ended up on elfen lied and i was like "ehy isn't that gorey anime with loli's that someone mentioned on thebore?"

and i think i found the first manga were "so bad it's good" applies, this is a complete and utter hilarious train wreck... where do i begin

- every girl in this manga is drawn with huuuuuuuuuge eyes that make for like 80% of their face, they use these eyes to cry like little bitches at least once every 10 pages mostly because they were angry at the main character or someone maimed the shit out of them (once in a while, someone maimed them while being angry at the main character)

- speaking of the latter, there is lot of girl getting dismembered or hit and the whole things feels like they were trying to go for a softcore version of gore porn but the whole thing is so badly drawn that it's just kinda hilarious and everytime someone loses an arm it looks more like the incredible crash dummies than an actual squicky scene (spoilered for NSFW boobs)

spoiler (click to show/hide)

*DONK*
[close]

- the story is like the worst collection of clichè ever, there is a childhood friend (who wants to bone the main character just because...) an amnesia, some childhood promise...    every character that orbits around the MC is :uguu bait that wants to bone him, the only other male character's in the whole story are the villains, it's either bait or nothing

- oh and apparently the whole story takes place in a future where the police, social service and empathy have long gone extinct, here is a scene where the villain choke's a newborn baby, just because kicking a puppy wouldn't clearly be enough to show how EVIL and TWISTED he is

spoiler (click to show/hide)
[close]

- and if what i wrote until now wasn't cringeworth enough, there is a 11 year old little girl that spends most of her time being naked and calling the scientist villain above "daddy!"  "i'll do anything for you daddy! :uguu"
she says
and now i wait for the FBI, when they come i'll tell them it was all bonbon fault :jawalrus

It's kind of a shock to see SHOTA ANGRY after like 70 episodes of "I love candy and puppies and flowers and I'm pure and nice and good and lightness" (I think Killua actually called Gon "his light" at one point, lmfao.)

Also Kite and Pitou in general.

Pure brilliance.

The character designs also get way better as the series goes on. Kite is like, one of the coolest character designs.

Some of the latest arc stuff has been silly (and some has been Monster-tier "OH GOD WTF" level of dark shit), the third arc (Yorkshin) is probably the best IMO. Hard to top moments like
