I'm not freaking out over this, but my wife is more concerned (due to being pregnant and all) and wants to go "stock up" on some food that can last for a while just in case. Don't see why we can't just buy some pasta since it's cheap as hell, but am totally expecting that shit to be cleaned out too, lol.

But nobody buys one roll at a time. You should already have enough tp to last.

Also, dont most offices have those enormous rolls of paper that supply 200 people for a month? Just take one home.

My uncle went into palliative care today - I'm thinking I'm going to have to fly home for a funeral soon. And Saskatchewan had it's first presumed case today. My mom works in a hospital.

I'm also expecting that my office will be shut down since its connected to a hospital. We are already getting warnings to take anything important home and to work at home if possible. Kinda getting scary out there.

I'm kinda torn on what to think. People say Western governments are slow and bumbling but it's all pretty exceptional measures. Sport competitions and such being canceled and put back, etc
.. probably not as efficient as South Korea but still. On the other hand, people (myself included) are slow to change habits and not everyone is being a poster boy of following strictly the health advices or being super aware.

Alright but still weak. Was not Coronavirus related, but she got really weak. And she is going to travel north side of the country today by plane to try to recover with my aunts.

Also had another employee show up to work today coughing with a sore throat and fever and we said not paraphrased but "why the fuck are you here, go home"

No matter how many times we tell our employees to stay home from work if they're sick and we're not taking it out of their sick leave, they still show up coughing and being sick in our small office where everyone crowds into a medium sized main office space and is like 2 feet from each other and constantly hands papers to each other and talks to each other. It's really frustrating as an employer.

I proposed a plan I wrote last night to transition the office to entirely remote work from home for all employees outside 1 receptionist to get the mail and answer calls. All it called for was buying like 8 work cellphones and getting 8 work laptops to take home that have remote connection to our server and office 365 on them.

Was voted down by the other owners that I'm paranoid and this isn't a big deal and blah blah.

If I can't make the office a safe place to work I'll probably just have to stay home and work from home myself from now on and they can't complain. As long as someone scans anything physical that shows up for me and emails me any calls I get and return numbers that I can call back from a google fake # from my home, I can do pretty much everything 99% from home myself. Though I do need a better remote access program to my server. Always used Teamviewer which is an oooook virtual desktop but not great and my dad uses Logmein which I never liked.

Employees can always work from home but they prefer the office for the good vibes and fun times.
