I got the call
Phase 1(Thursday): "Hey man we need these 4 websites like yesterday in a month for a client of mine for 15k and a quote today can you do it?"
Phase 2(Friday): "Yeah sorry we're like waiting for one more quote but we will let you know by Monday"
Phase 3(Monday): "Well yeah but now finance has to decide. Tomorrow for sure!"
Phase 4(Thursday): "Yeah bro. Sorry we picked another offer."
Me: "I wrote a quote and proposal of 25 pages and not a single question before the decision was made?"
Him: "Yeah, well I answered those as I understood everything. We were in a rush you see."
Me: "... So why weren't we picked?"
Him: "Well, we had the first offer which was too expensive. Yours was like in the middle and then we had someone undercut you by another 20% or so"
Me: "Well, yeah, if you want fast delivery it's gonna cost. This scope is quite big, we already quoted fairly low to be honest"
Him: "Oh uh, yeah by Friday I knew they wanted cheap, bye!"
Fucking fuckers.
Luckily I generated 20k in revenue this week and SAVED THE FUCKING COMPANY.
