75% off Front Mission Evolved :lol :(

The game was down to $7 at amazon (with steam activation) at one point.  I picked it up from there when it was around $11 but haven't played it yet.

Fun fact, Front Mission Evolved was written by the SE writing crew that wrote FFXIII and The 3rd Birthday.  You know the plot is going to be woooooooow

I doubt it'll go on sale.  The reamining deals will probably be Tomb Raider, Kane and Lynch and Deus Ex.

Has it ever gone on sale before? Is it really doing so well that they can't fucking drop its price below $50?

I'm honestly done waiting and searching for physical copies, either they drop its price or I'm pirating the shit out of it. Besides, if I ever thought of dropping that much for a Squeenix game I'd probably go for their $75 pack.

Yep I missed it too :( Someone claims it was $20 over Xmas but I didn't see it. I think they're doing it deliberately to make me buy the pack.

Also Civ 5 is on sale too.

I just realized that I gifted Civ4 the complete pack to a few friends during the christmas sale but never got it for myself on steam, so I finally nabbed it for myself for $7.50

I really hate games with constantly fluctuating prices, the game is old and should remain at this price. I swear I got a bad craving last week and almost bought it for $20(?).

There's still Saturday and Sunday, guys.

We've had Batman, Just Cause 2, Hitman, Front Mission and Supreme Commander.

Last two will be a combination of Lara Croft GOL, Kane & Lynch 2 and Deux Ex.

Just realised The Last Remnant wasn't even in the pack. FFS

Blood Money is the only Hitman game that really 'works'. Get it.

Silent Assasin is really good too but it's horrible dated. Contracts is just garbage. Blood Money is brilliant however.

A couple of noobish questions:

- To uninstall a game: right click>"remove local content" which would remove everything, even save data, unless I...
- Right click>"backup game files"

Right (on both accounts)?

Another quick question: Lara Croft and Guardian of Light, I have it on the PS3, but I'm wondering if someone can sell me on the PC version. Are there any major changes, exclusive content, worthwhile DLC, etc?

backup saves everything, so that you can just install from a disc instead of re-downloading

I see, thanks.

runs easily at 60fps at much higher resolutions, better textures, image quality with medium grade hardware.  Also works with 360 pad.

I had Guardian of Light on PS3 due to that Gamestop mix-up but still bought it on PC after playing both versions.

Depends on how much you care about how the game looks and runs.  PS3 looks blurry and choppy compared to the PC version and I don't think the PC version requires beefy hardware either.  PS3 version is probably just as fun as the PC version if you ignore all the technical stuff.  The reason I bought it "again" on PC was because I really liked the demo and I like my games to look good and smooth.

How do I force triple buffering on my setup: Is it enough to check "triple buffering" from my ATI's catalyst controls or do I have to install something like D3DOverrider?

d3doverider works more consistently although a few games can crash if you try to force vysnc with d3d.  Also, leave triple-buffering on if there's no problem.  Triple buffering makes the framerate smoother if it ever drops below 60.

plus the ending is cliffhangerish which makes the wait for ep3 painful
