Isn't money the important stat? because I was top of the list with like $5,000 in my first match and I didn't know what I was doing.

Anyone here played the Winter Voices game? The four parts released so far are $10 on Steam and it looks kind of intriguing, but I'd really like to know more about it before putting down the money.

Basically, it's the jankiest RPG you've ever played with a level of pretentiousness so high, it makes Braid look like Super Mario Bros. You don't get any offensive moves until the third chapter, all of your "attacks" are like cry or sulk and something like that, which push enemies (which are actually your inner demons) away from you or give you an extra movement point per turn, and your goal is invariably to survive a certain number of turns or run away from the combat area.

I played it for about an hour this afternoon, and I was trucking along pretty good until I got to this battle where you have to survive and protect your dead father's ghost for 25 turns...

How long is each part?

This game is amazing.

You have to use "Repulsion" to knock shadows away from the door so you can flee or "Anticipation" to reduce the amount of damage you take from the shadows' "Harassment" attack. There are also a lot of dialog choices, although most are *Cry Incoherently* when the shadows make fun of you for freaking out over your father's death. :lol

The prologue is the "base game" and then each chapter (three so far) is sold as DLC and you have to play them in order. As for how long it is...I think the chapters are around 3-4 hours each, but someone would have to actually beat it first to confirm that.

Dirt 2 is prob one of the best looking PC games i've ever seen, plus it runs like a true fucking champ. I have it on Ultra with 8x AA and it looks amazing. Sadly screenshots don't really capture the magic but :bow'

Also it has fantastic fucking sound design, like when you go into cockpit view you hear the cage rattling and you hear how the car sounds over different terrains

3rd-party DRM: TAGES Solidshield
5 machine activation limit

Yet the game has already been cracked on PC.  Good jon, EA.

Is this worth the money?

http://store.steampowered.com/sub/7586/

Super Meat Boy is god-tier, Reckless Disregard for Gravity is a fun arcade-ish game, Defense Grid is one of the best tower defense games, Amnesia: The Dark Descent is super-scary, Killing Floor is a really fun online shooter, and The Wonderful End of the World is an indie ripoff of Katamari Damacy, so yeah there's some pretty great games in there.

Been scaring myself in Amnesia. Nothings really hurt me so far, but there's always fucking demons in your peripheral vision never really showing themselves, then one time I turned around and there was some fucked up demon sidling towards me just to vanish a second later in a puff of smoke. WTF is this game. ATTACK ME ALREADY  :'(
