$3.74 for book 1, it says for me...

I got Hamiton's today, on the assumption that Howard Alan Treesong knows what he's talking about.

Just Cause 2 is fucking incredible, gorgeous game. The 3D implementation is top-notch too. (am I seriously still the only Borean who uses 3D Vision? feels like it...)

I tried the demo and it didn't click with me. I'm burned on puzzle games anyways. Which is why I didn't pick up SpaceChem either.

(I hope I don't regret both decisions later)

 ??? :dizzy :bawl

Fun game, though.  Too bad the tutorials teach you practically nothing.

At least the Summer Achievement is easy to get.  8)

I just realized that I gifted Magicka to at least 5 different friends in the past but I never got it for myself. $3.39 is a great price but the Bore collective didn't have a lot of good things to say about it.

I never played a Half Life game, and thanks to a few of you I have half the collection. Right now, I'm only missing the original HL2 and Ep1 from the HL2 saga, and I'm wondering if it's worth playing through the first or not (if only for... the story?)

I'm aware that this is supposed to blasphemy by gaming standards, so spare me the tomatoes.

Edit:

HL2 $2.49
EP1 $1.99

Can't go below this price, can it?

Edit2:

I also vaguely remember that the HL2 included in The Orange Box was running on an updated engine(?). I'm assuming the one being offered individually is the same.

They updated HL2 and EP1 to the latest Source engine a year ago because it was the only way to make them work on the Mac, use Steam Cloud, add achievements, etc. That's why the ones on the 360 were using the Orange Box version because that was the one they had working on the 360.

I don't think they spent much time rebuilding the levels though so there's only a few graphical changes.

I couldn't overcome my motion sickness from playing FPSes until recently.

big mistake. having nothing but issues with it. it freezes randomly when playing and you have to kill the process to get out. then when you try to play it again the graphics settings will reset and most of the time when you try to switch it back it crashes immediately. terrible.

That's really weird, I've never heard anything about Bioshock being anything other than fairly stable. Are you using Win 7 or an ATI card?

Hmm...could be issues with both then. ATI always seems to get the short end of the stick in that regard and the newer versions of Windows always seem to have a problem or two running older games. That sucks.

As a program, Steam is such a piece of shit.  It's always locking up or freezing, no matter which PC I am running it on.  Locked up so bad just then I had to reboot the computer.

I don't think I've had it lock up during a game, but sometimes when I close out a game it'll freeze momentarily or sometimes it randomly freezes while I'm browsing the store. Neither are common occurrences though.

yay - two games i wanted. Men of War Assault Squad (entirely based on Chespace's recommendations, says it's awesome, far better than Company of Heroes...) and AC Brotherhood.

Might bite on Two Worlds II for the comedy.

I haven't bought anything yet but I have two or three things I'm waiting to get.  I've learned that I don't play the games I buy and they just sit in my backlog.  Nothing really cheap has stood out as must buy or something I want to play right now.

and man, fuck super meat boy.  I can't even do Hell Dark World 1.  It's only one ticket and the prizes suck anyway, so I won't bother cheating.

Yeah I think I've already got most of what I wanted from the last Christmas sale.  I've only bought a few things - DA:O Ultimate Edition, Just Cause 2, and Tropico 3.

I honestly can't think of anything out there that I really want.
