already own it

i've got worse games in my steam library, believe me

i borrowed a friend's ps3 copy of DNF and played about an hour or so, i didn't think it was that bad tbh, just kinda dated and took forever (lawl) to get going

If it wasn't tower defense it'd be super fun awesome dungeon keeper/deception in 3rd person cam + shooter elements.

But then the waves come and come and come :|

Still might get it when it's cheap and give it a shot.  Demo was fun enough and it maybe be whimsy enough to overcome my great detest for the tower defense genre.

So The Baconing (aka, Deathspank ep3) is 50% off and yet ep2 has yet to go on-sale.  Not that I'm super excited to play more deathspank, but I enjoyed the first one just enough that I'd play the 2nd when it's $5.

THIS GAME IS AWESOME. That song was pretty great, too.

"POPULATION DEMORALIZED" :lol I hated it when the guerilla insurgents would show up to assist. They weren't all that useful or distracting to the EDF, and they died way too easily.

$100? a metric fuckton. Probably won't be many Q4 releases but you should get some great deals on other 2011 games. Isn't there a site that lists previous Steam sales?

Last year I spent $108 and got about 45 games and a few DLCs. Throw in Black Friday and I got like 18 games for $20 too.

Year before I spent $80 and got 25-30 some. (Seven regular games plus whatever was in the Eidos Pack at the time, Batman, Mini Ninjas, Deus Ex, all the Hitman games, etc.)

I have a pretty stupid question about the holiday sale, so please humor me.

How much gaming can one expect to get for around $100? I understand this will vary depending on what type of games you like to play but i'm just looking for ball park estimations. There's no way I can afford to get all the new releases next month so I plan to fill the void with older, cheap games from steam.

You can expect something from me too :) Keep your Wish List current!

Arkham City is up on STEAM:

http://store.steampowered.com/app/57400/?snr=1_4_4__13

released november 15th.

and it looks like it may be steamworks? doesn't show GFWL at all and it has STEAM acheivements...

also it's 39.99 if you own Arkham Asylum or Lego Batman on STEAM

Other Requirements: Online play requires log-in to Games For Windows – Live

Although, maybe they're removing GFWL and that was the reason it was delayed. Or maybe not. Dawn of War II was Steamworks and GFWL, so it's not unprecedented.
