Maybe there's still hope for Red Dead Redemption and Dragon's Dogma PC versions!  lol

Capcom puts like everything else on PC, I hope Dark Arisen comes eventually

I picked up March of the Eagle and it's your standard Paradox Crusader Kings 2 type game. It's alright. Kinda hard, as they still don't know how to do a proper tutorial that explains -anything-

This looks kinda of cool?  Seems like if Double Fine made a game in collaboration with Obsidian and Jane Jenson was the producer.

Tried this for 20 minutes, pretty much my first COD experience and I really really don't get why this is such a success. But I never liked Cunter Srtike or similar stuff either so I guess it's just not for me...

I think I play these free weekends because I like the texture diversity in the Call of Duty games post-MW2. There's really pretty fancy parts in some of the maps.

It's certainly not for the guys who are seeing through walls and spawn camping with endless killstreaks. Though those dudes tend to get really upset when you start kamikazing with grenades and rocket launchers because half your team has left. This guy who was like 86-1 and kept calling in airstrikes every two seconds told me to "play the right way" because I was blindly firing rockets at all the crap in the sky and then blew up like three of his clanmates trying to cap a point with a suicide bombing one time I managed to get more than five feet from spawning.

I was like "go fuck yourself Larry Brown."  :smug

And got a sweet ass badge or something plus like a billion thousand XP for killing three dudes with a nade.  8)

Bebpo is a benevolent guy. I finally recovered my Steam account, and there was a present waiting for me. Thanks, B!  :-*

I can't believe this is actually getting a PC release two and a half years later. :lol

Double Fine just bought the rights back to it, like they did with Psychonauts. Although Psychonauts was already on PC/Steam before they bought it, they did release a few patches for it once they got it back.

I'm pretty sure the rights are theirs to begin with, and don't involve purchasing anything from the publisher. They've always been hardcore about maintaining their own IP. Maybe there's a window in the contract for the publisher to not have to face competition from P against the console versions they're publishing...?

Officially announced:
Quote
Microsoft today announced Age of Empires II HD Edition, a reimagining of the 1999 real-time strategy game. With Ensemble Studios closed, work on the updated version is being done by Hidden Path Entertainment (Defense Grid series, Counter Strike: Global Offensive).

Age of Empires II HD Edition will launch on April 9 exclusively through Steam across the world. Gamers won't need to wait that long to play, however, as those who prepurchase (at a 10 percent discount) will be able to jump in April 5.

Age of Empires II HD Edition includes every single-player campaign from the Age of Kings original and the Conquerors expansion, totaling 18 in all. In addition, gamers can challenge other Steam players through the game's online mode.

According to Microsoft, Age of Empires II HD Edition has been remastered for high-resolution displays at 1080p. It also includes an "enhanced visual engine" sporting improved textures for terrain, water and fire, and ambient lighting effects.

Steamworks features for Age of Empires II HD Edition include achievements, leaderboards, matchmaking, and cloud support. In addition, gamers can share user created content through the Steam Workshop.

HD remake because they redraw the menu screens? Lol. I mean the original game supported 1280x1024 so basically already in the realm of HD.

I shouldn't complain that they put some effort into this port but HD remaster is a bit much.

Q. What’s happening?
We have been working on upgrading TF2, DoD:S, CS:S, and HL2:MP to be delivered through SteamPipe, Steam’s new content distribution. This will change how the game is downloaded and stored on your computer. The benefits to players are:
Faster and smoother downloads
Faster game boot times and map load times
Easier distribution, installation, and management of mods
Smoother dedicated server distribution and update rollover

New Day of Defeat Source Beta (Steam Pipe)
March 13th, 2013 - L | Mana | 1 Comments
DOD:S has just been switched to the new steam content delivery system. Among the highlights of this move are faster downloads, faster map loads and the ability to install DOD:S to another drive on your computer.

We also have the first DOD:S beta server up at:
67.212.160.118:27015

To get into the beta follow these instructions:
1.)   In the Steam client, right click on “Day of Defeat:Source” in the games list, and select “properties.”
2.)   Select the “betas” tab.
3.)   Select the “steampipe” beta.
4.)   Close the properties dialog.
5.)   Click “play” to launch Day of Defeat:Source.
6.)   You will be prompted with a dialog prompting you that existing content will be converted to the new format.
7.)   The conversion process will take a few minutes.

I have to verify game cache every time I launch it and the load times are horrendous.

On the other hand, Dota 2's load times are incredibly fast.
