Steam just went on a greenlight binge. 100 games given the go-ahead. On a quick look through I spotted Escape Goat and Gray Matter.

No Panzer Corps? Wow. I mean the greenlight page only has 462 comments.

Not sure how I feel about Warmachine: Tactics. Looks like they overhyped it to get kickstarter bux.

Amazon have a few decent sales on. Couple that jumped out for me were the return of the MS arcade/indie 5 pack for $7.50, and a Sleeping Dogs bundle with what I presume is everything in it for $15. Loads more stuff too.

Oh well, just have to keep holding out for the GotY edition. Actually, has SE ever bothered with a GotY edition for any of its western games? Can't think of any which seems odd given how much dlc is churned out for them.

I prefer buying older games from GOG. Steam sometimes adds things that makes them difficult, or impossible, to mod.

So Raban was kind enough to purchase CoD MW2 for me last night. Only for me to realize that after starting it up that nothing was going on. So after spending a good part of my day trying to play it I started to get really frustrated and understandably so. So in a last ditch effort I thought to contact Activision only to find out they no longer support the game. Then it was onto Valve to contact them for some type of resolution. Their answer was "it was a gift, you didn't pay anything for the game." WTF VALVE!!! That was not what I was expecting to hear from Valve.

uninstalled it reinstalled it and it still gives me black screen then quits back to desktop. I've tried compatibility modes and editing the launcher file. It is straight up broken, and it makes no sense.

Yeep already gone through a lot of suggestions. I'm on my 4th install with this game just trying to get it to load properly. I'm up to date on all my drivers too. Lots of folks have problems with similar issues, but mine is right out the gate it wont start. I've tried launching directly from the games directory and with steams offline mode.
