Also omg that opening sequence and the link it implies between the series and the movie.

Man, Billy Bob really killed it in that episode too. Such good TV.

I finished Friday Night Lights over the past few weeks and found it solidly B-grade. Also, the hottest person on that show was definitely Luke Cafferty. Followed by Coach Taylor.

Caught up on Arrow last night.

S2 starts out slow. But it is better than season 1. Has better highs and one of the best developed villains on TV in recent memory.

need some suggestions on what to watch while working next.  whatever is on netflix or amazon instant, simpler is better.  I think something like house of cards would be too much of a distraction.  I'm considering 24 but it's 8 seasons without including the new episodes.

for now I've started rewatching Arrow on netflix after himuro talked about it, but I'd rather watch something new.  two things:  oliver's actor was so much worse, and oliver chokes diggle out and it's never brought up again.

I don't know if I want to go with 24 yet.  another reason is I tried watching it maybe a decade ago when a friend lend me the dvds.  couldn't get into it back then.

The Shield was another show I was thinking about.  people talk about it like it's a quality show so I might want to watch it during free time, not in some side window.

It's very similar to the medium it was adapted from, actually. I think that the whole package is so high quality that you don't mind the shoddy writing. Direction-wise, action-wise, it's extremely well made television, and seeing an entire comic book story arc play out over the course of a whole season just doesn't get old. I much prefer this format (television) for telling a comic book story than movies. A lot of arcs and themes are more fleshed out and the action is better. Makes Gotham's decision to be pre-Batman even more bone headed.

For final 3, my ranking goes:

1)Bianca
2)Adore
3)Courtney

I'd put Adore as #1 if she was more polished.  She always has the worst fucking wigs and bitch really needs to learn to sew.

EDIT:

I gave Arrow about half an episode before declaring it trash.  I was expecting more since the poster for the show makes it look like gay porno.

Also, I'm of the opinion that if they wanted a villain, they should have kept Lasagna into the late game instead of the blah Darienne.  At least Laganja could get more interesting reactions out of people.

April and Trinity were the two most undeserving eliminations IMO. April's runway looks post-Drag Race for each week's challenge have been INCREDIBLE. Her "business lady" look just blew my mind. Fishiest queen look I have ever seen.

Depends. They clock you on "relying on pretty" which is what has kept Courtney in the competition IMO (even though I think she has a lot of personality + heart that isn't shown very well thanks to the editing). April did a lot of crazy wacky looks that were complemented -- not buoyed -- by her fishiness. Courtney has been on-and-off relying on her silhouette, except when she goes the extra mile (the "serving fish" outfit, the regal eagle outfit).

I kind of want to see Arrow since my youngest brother and sister are big on it and I haven't had a show we can talk about together since Breaking Bad, but I can't for the life of me watch a CW show.

If you do we could make an arrow thread!

fwiw I don't like CW shows outside of arrow, unless Veronica Mars counts.  Give it a shot.

Typical Mike Judge. The show has consistent, clearly defined characters and it examines how they interact with each other in ridiculous scenarios. If you like his stuff you'll like SV.
