Fargo continues to be very engaging but to rebound on the discussion we briefly had about the previous season, I have to say that the writing in S2 do rely a lot on stretching disbelief quite a bit.

The butcher guy apparently getting to his home on foot before the police in a car... and I forgot the details but apparently Peggy was still in the cave of her house all along. That means the Danson character woke up and just bolted out without inspecting the house ? I'm a bit fuzzy with the details here but that whole ping pong between their home and the police station feels contrived.
I wasn't bothered as much by that in S1, and I think that it did a better job of having that borderline supernatural tone to make it work anyway. I guess the whole UFO motif will serve as that here but it's been pretty minor so far.
Also that fake old movie was terrible. I know the intro played with that, but it was just on set. I'm baffled that a series with such obvious care to aesthetics would shit the bed that bad. It looked nothing like the real thing.
EDIT : Actors are killing it tho. Dunst is phenomenal in this and I'm not a big fan generally.
