Started Sons of Anarchy on Friday and now I'm 9 episodes in. Why doesn't anyone talk about this show? It's so fun to watch.

I do! sometimes.
I only have 5 episodes left in season 2 and s3 isn't out on dvd/bluray yet. :(

Thats true! Its just something about what she's wearing and the way she flirts with Larry thats cute to me but yeah she is hot. She's got that rare mixture going. More girls should wear tight casually unbuttoned dress shirts.

That's not entirely true.  I asked one girl if she'd mind if I said she was cute.  She said no, and that it would be a compliment.  So I walked away.

This reminds me of how I find Lilly Caplan cute/hot in Party Down.

Have been waiting years and years to watch Twin Peaks, never have, dunno why. Have always understood S1=greatest thing ever, S2=poo.

Is there any more detailed selection I need going in? Where does that movie thingy fit in?

I'm perfectly happy watching whatever's great and dumping the rest.

(would answer myself but finding answers tends to find spoilers as well)

Girls don't like being called cute unless they're like 10. They like compliments like "that's a nice dress" or "did you get a haircut? It's looking good today"

The beginning of Season 6 has her dancing in her undies when she's fully developed and hot.  But too bad her annoying character immediately detracts from any physical attraction.

Jesus.  Season 6 of the Sopranos is bad.  No wonder this is the only season I've only watched once.  The first 5 episodes is filled with Tony whining and stupid dreams and a bunch of shitty side stories with characters no one gives a shit about.

I watched Dollhouse S2 ep1

...waited too long to watch this.  I don't remember wtf happened in the last few eps of the first season so I am confused.

Started watching Parks and Recreation S1 because I'm almost finished with Arrested Development and I heard some of the same people are involved.  Ep1 was funny enough.

Otherwise, finishing up Arrested Development and still on the fence as to if I want to keep watching Boardwalk Empire.  I'm about 4eps in and it's ok but it just seems like a show that will go on forever and I'm not really into long long shows.

Season one of Parks and Rec is kinda weak. It's trying hard hard to be an office clone. Amy Poehler is doing a bad Steve Carrell/Michael Scott impression. The show finds itself in Season 2 and going forward and really hits its stride. I would argue it's been the best comedy on television, network or cable the last few years.

I came here to type the exact.fucking.thing! First they ruined Sam Weiss and now the first people. If they find a way to ruin the Watchers too with some boring revelation, I'm done with this show.

I didn't like the "I punched holes in both universes so we can reach a solution" part either, but the rest was ok.

Overall, it was an ok episode, verging on good. I'm probably a bit let down because I had extremely high expectations. It was the conclusion to an excellent season. S3 really solidified the show as one of the best Sci-Fi I've seen.

It seems like they were trying to clear up threads that should have never really been created if they were never gonna be touched on (like Sam Weiss and the First People). Though I think I'd rather have these things stay a mystery than throw out underwhelming 30 second explanations.

I randomly checked out an episode from Season 3 on Hulu and it was pretty funny.  I absolutely hated the last episode I saw (one of the first ones in Season 1, maybe the first).

Can comfortably skip Season 1 and start with Season 2? When does Adam Scott join in? he was in the episode I saw.  Anything loosely connected with Party Down is ok with me.

I went back to watching P&R after reading this page, I think I only saw the first two episode when the show started airing. The show didn't click with me back then and now I remember why; trying too hard to be The Office, Amy Poehler is a cross between Michael Scott and Michael Cera, among other things. When does it start getting better? Not amazing, just better.

I'll probably just start at the end of S1 with parks and rec.  bless netflix for having all of s1 and s2 for streaming.

s2 is up and down, the start was really subpar but then got better, then they'd sink back into forgetting the show has characters again

yeah, ups and downs is s2 described perfectly.  the stinkers are pretty bad, but the good episodes are pretty great.  there are a few middling ones the extremes outweigh the par.

and yeah, the christmas special was terrible

When does it start getting better? Not amazing, just better.

It gets slightly better over the course of Season 1 but it still always remains stuck in that office clone mode.

It immediately gets better in Season 2 and continues improving all the way through until its very good by the end of the season. Season 3 has been great also.

The show just gets leagues better. The secondary characters get a lot better. And Amy Poehler gets a lot better. They change her character from being a Michael Scott clone to actually being really competent at her job. They aren't all just sad sacks anymore. Everybody becomes an indivual character and likeable without being cloying. For some reason I find myself very upbeat and positive when I watch the show. It's infectious. I compare this to a lot of other shows that feel forced cyncial and world weary by comparison

As far as Community I've liked the second season myself although I'll admit its probably not as strong as the first season was.

This.  Especially in the early seasons and all the different characters and then the ones voiced by guest stars and then finding out how many people actually voice 70% of the cast is :o
