NOOOOOO! I haven't watched yet, but I was really hoping they'd pull a rabbit out of the hat. Unless it's Evangelion-bad, I'll probably still be OK with it. This whole season has been a bit weird: thematically fresh, but retcon central.

I'm sad to hear that, I've been saving up the last couple of episodes to watch on my day off on Wednesday. Ah well.

Rewatched all of Breaking Bad from season 1 to the first half of season 5.

Now I'm watching episodes of King of the Hill.  I remember Cheebs was talking shit about this show and wanted to wring his assuredly pencil neck for being so wrong.  Probably one of the most underrated shows out there because it gets ignored.  A shame but oh well, fuck them.

Ha I'm watching King Of The Hill for the first time right now, it's great. I had seen random eps on tv before but had never really put much time into it, but a few days ago I started S1. It's very good and consistently funny so far. It's crazy how much it reminds me of some of my Texas family members I met for the first time a couple years ago.

Maybe it was because I was in a small town/city, but I couldn't tell any difference between the black and white people there. They talked pretty much the same, talked about the same stuff, did the same stuff, etc. It was fun

I only caught episodes here and there, but I was always amazed at how KotH was mostly able to avoid becoming broader and less-grounded as time went on - which seems to be some entropy-like inevitability with any comedy.

Banshee could go two ways, but I quite like the title sequence, the bar scene was great, and the hero has a strange face.

Don't Trust The Bitch has been yanked.  :(

Somebody in here was watching Wedding Band, that's been cancelled.

Dunno if anyone was watching Ben and Kate but I saw that's also been yanked and cancelled.

The Following. Very brutal for a show on Fox, I felt. Pretty compelling too. I thought all the Poe references was a bit much even though the serial killer is obsessed with him.

Yep. A 'Yo Dawg' moment.

Is it worth watching?

I'd give it a shot. Its on Hulu. Kevin Bacons character is a bit of a cliche though but hey, its a pilot. Although the way the pilot ends is divergent from normal network fare.

I actually asked about that. She's going to be a recurring guest character from now on.

She's dating the guy who played Keith on Scrubs and Ben on Always Sunny. Great people.

Just started watching American Horror Story for the first time.

I'm conflicted.  I really love the premise and how its progressed so far, but some of the directorial decisions have bothered me.  How its shot, how its edited, etc.

And fuck, the young Moira is fucking sexy.

Also, I LOVE Tate.  All the fans of the show like to say he's the most evil person in the show but I think he found redemption in his death.  He's a great character.

Too bad Kata Mara is an annoying cunt in the show.

This season of AHS wasn't as good as the first one. Just too many plotlines that went nowhere and had nothing to do with each other. There were still a lot a good things about it though, like interesting characters and visuals.

Tried a couple episodes of Justified based on a friends recommendation, it sucked pretty bad and feels like it's trying to riff on True Bloods success (despite that also being pretty bad).

Anyone watching this UK show Utopia?  It's pretty whacked.

Quote
Utopia will follow a group of people who find themselves in possession of a manuscript of a cult graphic novel. The tome is rumoured to have predicted the worst disasters of the last century and the group soon find themselves targeted by a shadowy organisation known only as The Network.

first episode had some genuinely distressing scenes.

good review / round up of the first episode

http://www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/tvandradioblog/2013/jan/15/utopia-episode-by-episode

and yeah, the torture scene is fairly fucked up

Watched the first ep of Happy Endings' two-fer tonight since it airs in Canada on Mondays. Funniest episode of the season yet (it just keeps topping itself).

The beginning scene with Max going, "FUCK YOU! AND FUCK YOU! AND FUCK YOU! AND FUCK YOU!" is basically my response to people who are not watching the show and thus depleting its ratings. DVR New Girl ffs.

Weeds... just remember that once this show starts going downhill, it never comes back. Don't worry about dropping it after a few seasons.
