My post felt overly cynical and mean the moment I put it up but now I regret it. Guess I wanted to tear someone down at that moment but going through her feed it seems like I'm one of many that have tried and have said it directly to her. I recant my opinion, it was douchey.
Listen, going to comment on her profile about it is a cunt move, but this isn't different from making fun of someone for wearing cargo shorts and socks with sandals.
Also don't get guilt tripped by people spending their time making fun of Resetera autystys.
LOL, I guilt people for making from of restera too, you must not read that thread much. I try not to say anything about people in general I wouldn't say directly to them. (I can't claim to always do that or anything, but it's a good thing to try to do, particularly when talking about how people look)
And I thought it was a little out of character for Blue and I'm not surprised he took the comment to heart; he's a positive dude and it kinda surprised me TBH.
Build people up, don't tear people down.
Except Nintex, fuck that guy.
I think it's just rude to go express your opinion on whatever someone is doing directly to them, if you have no relation whatsoever (i.e. a stranger on the internet), but i won't pretend i don't have an opinion on someone wearing a hentai sweater in public or whatever.
With that in mind, i think there's a difference between commenting to them directly, and making an off hand comment on a thread they'll never see.
The first one is rude, the second one less so.
I find ostentatious positivity to be condescending, but then there's quite a bit of road from there, to being a piece of shit in a comments section.
