Do you know many comic magazines there are?  I lived over there and frequented bookshops- never heard of "Comic Gum."    It's listed as a magazine series targeted at the 18+ crowd, so it's not going to be where Jump and the like are I guess.  I certainly did see the collected editions for comics like Ikkitousen displayed though.

We've got Japanese bookstores in Seattle that carry the comic magazines, but I still had no clue how many different ones are actually published on a regular basis in Japan. I lost track of all the different titles I saw at train stations, bookstores, 7-11s, Lawsons, etc.

I watched 60 episodes of Toriko over the past few weeks. I thought the Jewel Meat and Century Soup arcs were decent but otherwise it was a big disappointment    I don't know if its filler or stuff from the manga but the one off episodes are terrible (and the show is full of them). Whether its scaring apples or helping the curry shop owner get his groove back they aren't funny or charming, just plain boring.

I scanned the remaining ~40 episode descriptions to catch up and none of it seemed that interesting so I'm done.

Limit vol 5 arrived on my doorstep and it's much better than the previous two volumes.  i feel like what should have been a two or three volume story is just artificially stretched to 6 volumes.

I usually like shonen jump fluff but there really isn't anything good there. The best fight in the series had Toriko unleash is new attack... a kick . The last episodes I watched was them fighting a waterfall

It's a darkly-whimsical odyssey through a very strange fantasy world, a bit like Kino's Journey but without all the philosophizing. The characters designs are really cutesy, but it works with the fairy-tale vibe that runs through the whole thing and is a nice contrast to the gothic art style that's present everywhere else. The art really stands out in the handful of color pages that pepper each volume [there are three so far].
