I've largely stopped reading manga a while ago as well, when everything I actually still bought went on long breaks because they caught up to the Japanese collections. Then I started reading the scans and now I'm fully on the dark side, because I'd rather buy video games I don't play.

So: Berserk, Vagabond and Blade of the Immortal.
Other stuff I like, but don't follow too closely: Dorohedoro, I Am Hero, All-rounder Meguro, Battle Angel Alita: Last Order, Gantz and probably something else I don't remember.

my manga tastes swings towards seinen and drama however I'm big on romance, action adventure, some shounen and shoujo. Excited for the new Sailor Moon.

Honestly, with Nana coming back, it's a good as time as any to jump back into manga.

When I saw the PS3 Saint Seiya announcement I suddenly felt like watching some good ol' classic SS, and when I couldn't find a cheap and legit way way to do so I opted to watch SS Omega... a few episodes later and I hate myself for wasting some time on this crappy shonen imitation of the classic. Then I started wondering if the show has always been like but I was too babby to know. $:-\$

Apparently Gantz just ended. I remember I stopped around the alien mostly made out of breasts. I'm pretty sure some of the characters start fucking the aliens too. Definitely gonna start reading again, hopefully it doesn't have real downer ending.

Yeah, Polar Bear Cafe is god-tier anime.

And as far as non-current shows go, I'd recommend: Fist of the North Star, AnoHana, Cobra the Animation, Durarara, Fate Zero, House of Five Leaves, Humanity has Declined, Kids on the Slope, Level E, Moribito, R.O.D., Squid Girl, and Time of Eve.

Oda is still pretty young though so he has time to make a stinker (not that I think he will) I havent really read any of Araki's other works, but Jojo for sure will stay the test of time. I stopped reading Bleach after the soul society arc, once the upgrades start I start vomitting. Same with Naruto, I stopped the instant Naruto and his friends beat an akatsuki. Dragonball also had the stupid upgrade mechanic and thats where I jump out. Togashi handles that way more organically and it rarely comes off as forced.
