it's manga aimed at an older female audience so it's really different from what you'd probably normally read but if you're a fan of stuff like Perfect Blue, you may be into this.

also Volume 2 of Gundam Origin came in today. Can't wait to read that.
Really liked the first volume in that it cleaned up the "monster of the week" format of the original and is just presenting the story elements of UC79

The genre is called Josei. Well one of my absolute favorite is Honey and Clover

There are middling things, but generally I think they all just fall in the seinen grouping, well josei in this case. So Josei will stretch from the fluffy to the ultra serious

Lots of good manga being licensed these days but I don't have the money for it.

Can you guys suggest some manga? It's been a while, maybe two years since I read actively. These days, I just read One Piece and the occasional Yotsuba and have since 2011. I read mostly adult oriented manga such as seinen and josei, but it's not a requirement, hence Yotsuba and One Piece.

anything by Tatsumi

I do love romance shoujo manga. I find them relaxing and cute, stuff like Marmalade Boy and Kare Kano. Anything new in that area but for ya know, adults? I'm not a teenager anymore so I don't identify with those characters as much these days. I tried watching Honey and Clover anime back in the day and found it bad, but I chalk that up to a weird animu.

Haven't read Paradise Kiss or the manga mentioned on this page so I have a good place to start.

This one's got Logicoma's, and it's not just a glorified vehicle, though it doesn't get much screentime in the first episode. There is a CG special with the disc release, though.

Arise was pretty cool. Lots of nicely choreographed action and a plot that feels pretty Gits-ish. Really not disappointed at all.

The music sucks though.

I kinda liked the music, for the most part, even if it was nowhere near as good as Kenji Kawai's movie soundtracks or Yoko Kanno's TV soundtracks.
