MY problem with Berserk in Dark Age is that it starts out great, and then Guts builds up this party of KIDS and shit and it feels like a fucking shounen story when it supposed to be goddamn seinen because he has a pack of children and annoying people trailing behind him. My only problem with him acquiring a whole RPG party is that it took FORVER for them to get anywhere. I hope they find the god damned fairy king the second they step off that fucking ship.

in america they've released the first 5 volumes. I'm still enjoying it. It hasn't gotten bad for me yet.

What else should I be watching then? Already heard of Gargantia and Valvrave. Gonna watch the first eps of both soon and end up marathoning em also if I like what I see.

I'm really just hungry for more AoT though. Think I'll start the manga.

Edit: Forgot to ask: if you could only pay for one, which is worth more/has the better shows? Crunchyroll or Funimation? Thinking of cancelling my netflix for a month or two and catching up on all the good anime I've missed. I can do it. I excel at back to back marathon runs of tv shows.

I'd go with Crunchyroll. Funimation still airs most of its shows in HD for free, and Crunchyroll gets more of the new shows.

Benn watching Psycho-Pass. I like how fast it moves, but the pace is kind of jarring at the same time. Nothing against character development, but everything seems to fall into place too neatly.

Something I don't get about the tech. What the hell do people actually wear? The holo clothing seems to become corporeal, but that makes no sense.

I think this video perfectly sums up an anime about a young kid who denies his humanity by agreeing to an EULA so that he can pilot a mecha that commits harakiri to unlock its ultimate attack once its temperature 666 death units and turns him into a body swapping, rapey vampire so that he can defend a country that was created in a spur in the moment by his high school classmates from Space Nazis and corrupt Americans with the help of a guy that can predict the future down to the minute.

Bokurano is not nearly as idiotic as that sounds, even though at the core the story is much the same, i.e. kids saving the world by piloting a mech (with a price to be paid). It's just soul-crushingly bleak and sad and every twist just makes it sadder. Naru Taru, by the same author, is just as dark and fucked up, even though they both look innocent and silly.

No way Momo, I've been reading the manga since the anime finished and think the show sells a lot the dramatic moments better. I finished volume 5 yesterday and I keep wondering/imagining how the anime would do it, what would the music be like,etc. Granted since I started with the show it's not much of a surprised that's my preference.

Also Gundam the Origin Vol.2 came out a week or so ago.

going to quote myself but this is really good,the plot is about a guy who goes on some resort island and ends up on some hotel,there he meets a pretty big cast of character made up of the two maid of the hotels,the luchadore owner of the hotel,the other hotel customer's and a few local,then as the manga goes on it's revealed that every one of them has some batshit secret behind them

it's also completly hilarious,the thing doesn't go for more than 5 page without something incredibly stupid happening or being said

Finished Valvrave earlier. Can't wait for it's return later in the year. I've seen ppl compare it to Code Geass WHICH I LOVED, but it's nowhere near as campy.

Just started Gargantia. Not sure what I'll watch after this. Maybe the new HxH since I loved the original and it's not a show that I can finish/catch up with in a day.
