Air Jordan 2012 is finally releasing.

http://www.nicekicks.com/2012/02/air-jordan-2012-officially-unveiled-2/

Looks amazing but $223 is a pretty steep price.  Unless the performance reviews are excellent, I'll probably wait for a 20% off sale.

I really want a pair with this color.

All Star reserves

Quote
The seven reserve spots were selected by a vote of each conference’s head coaches.

The Eastern Conference reserves: Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh, Atlanta Hawks guard Joe Johnson, Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert, Boston Celtics forward Paul Pierce, New Jersey Nets guard Deron Williams, Chicago Bulls forward Luol Deng, Philadelphia 76ers forward Andre Iguodala.

The Western Conference reserves: Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love, Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook, Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki, San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker, Phoenix Suns guard Steve Nash and Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol.

The starting lineups for both teams, selected by a fan voting process, were unveiled last week.

The Eastern Conference starting lineup: Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose, Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade, Heat forward LeBron James, New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony and Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard.

The Western Conference starting lineup: Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul, Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant, Clippers forward Blake Griffin and Lakers center Andrew Bynum.

Knicks won again but Lin came down to earth a bit. He was 8 of 24. He also needs to work on his turnovers. He turned it over 6 times tonight. 6 times against the Lakers. And 8 times against utah.

Lin will be fine. This is the first game where he was clearly tired. Going from a benchwarmer to playing like 35-40 mins a game for 5 games straight can't be an easy transition.

This is a compilation vid shot by my gf at the Bobcats Clippers game last night. It's got all of Blake Griffin's dunks including the one he just barely missed, pretty sick.

Also included is me shouting at Corey Higgins with my given name for him (Nepo.)

Fun game even though we got smoked, I enjoyed the Throwback stuff and 70s music.

And especially the cheerleader outfits.

Why do so many people seem so sure that Eric Gordon's going to leave New Orleans in free agency?  He's restricted, and the NBA previously cleared the team to re-sign him, and you have to imagine that they'd feel the pressure of keeping a good young player and showing that they got something valuable for Chris Paul.

I guess it's the combination of the Pacers showing strong interest and the NBA wanting to keep financial obligations for the Hornets to a minimum until they find a buyer?

Well it sure seems like he or his agent is bleeding his injury dry for all they can. I don't know if that message is coming from NO or why it would come from Stern & NO temp-management. If it is a message being sent by Gordon and his agent, it seems to say he'd leave.

Knicks won a really tight win versus Toronto. They were down the entire game and being outplayed but they pulled it together for the win.

Lin hit the game winner.

27 pts
11 assists
9-20.

He's the real deal. Good player. He just gets out of control at times which he needs to work on. 8 more turnovers tonight.

This was probably the most impressive win despite it being Toronto because they just didn't have it tonight. This is a game they stole on the road and absolutely would have lost before this and just folded.

He basically has saved D'Antoni's job. He runs a really good pick and roll and two man game to either get a decent look for himself or the other guy. The offense just doesn't stagnate into iso play with every watching Carmelo or Amare go 1 on 5.

similar story though, and I think this is even better: a team that was supposed to be great, sucks, gets hurt, and then is lead by a no-name to six straight wins.  Crazy.

Listen to that crowd roar! He just beat their team.

I'm not saying he's Magic Johnson but he is very, very good and could be a star for a long time. Just compare with someone like Norris Cole, who came back to earth real fast after an amazing debut. Cole is good, but Lin is way way better than that.

Amare got blocked so many times in that game. He has lost some explosiveness.

Watching Anthony come back will be interesting. It's cliche to say it at this point but it will be fascinating to see how the offense runs.

Yeah. Granted, that's about all these Raptor bigs can do, minus Bargnani. But still, he is on the downside for sure.

Melo is saying all the right things but I really think he's almost as bad as Iverson in his inability to co-exist with other scorers. Lin handled Amare very well - passed up his own shots to set him up early, took the pressure off him later. The issue is not so much Amare and Melo but all the other trash that surrounds them...Bill Walker should never be starting for an NBA team. Still, a few more 6 game win streaks could put them in great playoff position in this shortened season. Gonna be fun seeing what this kid can do in the post season! I'm all the way on board.

The problem for the Celtics and Knicks is that not only do those two rosters have legit problems but they will have to battle mightily to get out of the 7th and 8th slots where they would get mauled by the bulls and the heat in the first round. You want that #6 slot to avoid those two teams but you have to beat out Atlanta, Orlando, or Indiana. One of those teams falling off is possible but its still going to be a battle to get to that 6th slot.

That's one point of view, certainly. It's also possible that they might never lose again :lol

Getting ahead of myself for sure here but my god, wouldn't it just be HILARIOUS if they did knock off the Heat in the first round.

(reference there to Kobe being asked if he might guard Lin the other night. He responded: 'Jesus Christ. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here' :lol

Kobe Bryant, John Wall, Jose Calderon, Ricky Rubio...sure, let's add Tyreke Evans to the list

Of note: the scouting has caught up with Lin. Toronto was double-teaming him early, and Calderon (admittedly the world's shittiest defender...) tried to make him drive left at the end...but Lin took the jumper instead. His shot and inability to go left are still major weaknesses but not necessarily fatal, as many were predicting.

The TWolves are more likely running into the Adelman wall. He sticks to his lineups and rotations despite most anything, but then he'll easily get baited into playing a style or pace that doesn't fit his team by the other coach.
