listening to the list of Bulls injuries / illness etc was fucking hilarious though, in light of Rose cheering them on from the bench

- Deng just had a SPINAL TAP and was just released from hospital - played up til game 6 I think
- Nate Robinson was throwing up on the bench in the last game and played the series of his life
- Kirk Hinrich tried to play tonight but doubled over in pain in practice
- Noah literally covers more distance every night than anyone else in the league and has been doing it on one foot

And that's just what I remember off the top of my head, there is a fair bit more

And Rose might disrupt chemistry, PD? They currently have bench players subbing in for bench players and playing 40-plus minutes. It's a joke to say that adding back the guy their whole team is built around could disrupt their chemistry any more than it is currently disrupted. Unless they all hate him now or something (and they're all being super-loyal in their public statements...)

I am thinking Grizzlies-Heat for the finals now btw, although it's a long way off and the West is still pretty damn close. The game plan for beating the Thunder is pretty clear now - really, they weren't much better than the Rockets over the last 4 games. The Grizz should be able to handle them in 6 no matter how amazing KD is. Then it comes down to Spurs vs Grizz in the finals (GSW has no chance against the Spurs, since all their open looks will just dry up against Pop's schemes). I'm confident in Z-Bo's health again (or at least his production) and Gasol is starting to really assert himself on both ends the way he is capable of, so I think that might be enough to tip it. Although a Spurs win would hardly be shocking.

Watching the Bulls grind down the Nets today was beautiful, goddamn Noah

Rose is 24. He is recovering from a major injury. The truth is there have been players who have come back from injuries too soon only to really damage themselves. And people need to knock it off with this Adrian Peterson stuff. Everybody is different. Because one athlete recovered from injury in one manner does not mean another athlete will do the same. That being thrown out is getting tiresome.

Real talk. I respect how quiet the management and Rose have been on his reasons for not returning, the fans and media are ridiculous why waste effort reasoning with them? It makes perfect sense he would have hangups about returning to a tough playoff series especially considering what happened last year.

The reality is even with Rose the Bulls are extremely unlikely to beat the heat. So if he says he not ready then why toss him out there in this environment when he's the entire franchise. Just wait.

Just imagine though if the Bulls are able to make it a series against the Heat. Wooo boy...

Grizz offense biting them in the ass down the stretch. That was an awful shot by Prince. And that last drive was poor also. Not sure why they didn't post up on either play.

He can continue to be hungry and strive to have an even better season than this year

Grizz were very unlucky not to get game 1 - they looked very very comfortable throughout and I think I saw Scott Brooks throw up in his mouth at several points. Either Durant moves up from 2nd Best, or the Grizz win this one. I'm increasingly intrigued about a Grizz-Heat finals 'cause if the Heat have any kind of a weakness, it's size and rebounding. I would still give the Heat the edge there though but it is more interesting than a repeat of last year's Finals at least

Kevin Martin has been overlooked a bit

If he can keep scoring like he did in Game 1, OKC should win this series

well, if they run plays for him that don't depend on KD. I'd like to see a lot of pick and rolls with him and Collison. And Martin is a one-way player who will get exploited on D so Brooks is still likely to play Thefolosha a ton (as with Perk). I disagree but that's what history say's he'll do

Next time someone tries to tell you that Melo is the best 'pure scorer' (or whatever verbal contortion they use), ask them when is the last time they remember LeBron or Durant going 10-29, or taking 29 shots and not scoring 40-plus. Melo's had 4 games in a row like this whereas LeBron/KD might not have a game like that in a whole season

Maybe Rose should stay injured. Clearly the team is in "win one for the Gipper" mode, and when you pair that emotional spirit with the benefit of veteran leadership on the bench (Ray Allen) you're left with the most potent mix in sports. It's like having two hearts pumping life into this team.

I checked the scores at work and didn't even register that Bulls won that game, like my brain couldn't process that the current Bulls beat a healthy Heat. Wasn't til I got home and went to watch the Warriors game I did a double take that it was the Bulls not the Heat with 93 :lol God damn that Warriors game was great, a little heartbreaking though.

The Warriors are always going to have these nutty peaks and valleys 'cause of their reliance on the 3. I wouldn't be too upset about the loss if I was a fan...most fans are still buzzing just from being in the playoffs, never mind beating the Nuggets and advancing. This is all gravy, good playoff reps against an elite team

The problem with the Grizz is that if the game is close I trust Durant to make a better play than the Grizz defense. I don't trust the Grizz offense to be able to create a good shot in the same situation.

I like difference in sport rather than just always aesthetic beauty. I like post play which is a lost art in the NBA. And I like good defense. The Grizz certainly aren't a pretty team to watch. But as long as the rules are fair I like to see different and contrasting style to see which one wins.

Me too but neither Randolph nor Gasol has great post game techniques.  Their paint pts are due more to banging than to great footwork or soft touch.
