ok, so I'm hunting for some animals and see this dude shoot another guy running away.  He then runs towards my horse, jumps on, and as he rides away I take out my repeater and shoot him in the face.  Then a -50 honor thing comes up    Dude was a murdering thief! he stole my horse! am I not supposed to shoot him in the face? that goes against everything I stand for.

btw, how can you tell the fast horses from the others? do you just need to remember the colors or something?

also i just bet the dude i could shoot more birds than him, and the fucking birds flew directly over my head the whole time (and you can't aim straight up in the air) so i wasn't able to get all 4

Oh theres something I really wanted to ask you guys:

whats the deal with collectibles? Are there 100 hidden sheriff badges and whiskey bottles? If there are some sort of collectibles does the game track them well? i.e. can you tell if youve maxed them out in a certain town/region?  (like in Assassins Creed 2)

I couldnt see any collectible related achievements, but there is one for 100% completion and the possibility of collectibles would obviously impact that.

I just got my lasso and am just riding around, see a guy struggling to shoot a animal, so I decide to help him out.  I ride near it and lasso it up to keep it stable while the guy shoots.  What amazed me was that the guy says "sure appreciate it" to acknowledge that I helped him out.  It's amazing how you can interact with random things like that.

Not really RDR related, but I gotta say again how fucking amazed I am on how quiet my new 360 is.  After playing RDR for 3 and half hours off my HD, I can still barely hear the thing running.  I've always read people going on about how quiet the new 360s were and just thought they were full of shit because I've never experienced anything but noise coming out of those machines but I swear this thing is quieter than my current PS3.  Seriously.

And now a fucking cougar killed my stallion.

I honestly think this is one of the best looking games ever made. And i just got done playing God of War 3, and Metro 2033 also not so long ago.

Just came across a point in the game where it really climaxed, holy shit. Everything clicked, the sandbox gameplay, the visuals, EVERYTHING

I go camping once in a while in Anza and the game recreates the desert PERFECTLY.

as soon as I get to a new town where I can buy new clothes, the shopkeeper closes the shop and walks out, so I'm like "ok, I'll sleep and check it out in the morning".  A message pops up saying "shopkeeper has been killed; shop closed for 5 days" FUUUU! I ran back to the shop, saw the jackass responsible, and shot his hat off along with everything under it.

Then I saw a woman getting kidnapped, saved her and hogtied the kidnapper.  as soon as I carried her away and freed her, I ran back and cut his throat.  Justice, baby.  Justice.
