Decided that after two years of short filmmaking I'm gonna attempt my first "legit" feature in 2017. I won't act and I might not edit it (like I do for my shorts), but I'll be writing and directing. Hoping to get a 90-100 page draft done by the end of this year.

Financiers, SGA actors, WGA-accepted script, location permits, film festivals, the works. Wish me luck brehs.

Thanks! And oh trust me, I know. My 25 min short almost killed me haha. But it was fun, too.

The most stressful parts were acting (not really too good, and hard to act/direct simultaneously) and editing (I actually like editing, but I procrastinate too much until I do it in 12-hour marathon sessions.) Hopefully with those out of the way I won't die...

Money and schedules will be the hardest things to nail down.

If I had it my way I'd just write. Maybe someday...

Have your nostrils checked by a specialist. I had a couple periods in my youth with chronic nosebleeds (esp. summers). Turned out to be a fragile vein that had to be cauterized.

I have a doc's appointment on Friday. I'll mention it there. There was no precipitating event. No bad sneezing or nose blowing the night before. It's probably just a random occurrence or something but I'm old so this stuff gets me all antsy.

Watching Black Mass of the Nazi Sex Wizard really got me thinking. I think I can probably make a better vomit gore flick than the genre originator. Or at least plot and write one. I can't claim to be able to shoot it. Lucifer Valentine actually has some style going on. Moreso in reGOREgitated Sacrifice and Slow Torture Puke Chamber, but it's there in Black Mass of the Nazi Sex Wizard, too. Black Mass of the Nazi Sex Wizard was really kinda disappointing. It felt like Lucifer was just going back to the vomit gore well for one more, particularly uninspired serving. It especially feels inessential since the original three films were marketed as a trilogy, so this seems like little more than a cash-in.

I just caught a guy lying on his resume/interview.

He claimed he did a project that I myself delivered. I was like "tell me about that project. Who was the sponsor?" and just kept delving into it. "Huh, that's funny.
