Basically any criticism of Doom 2016 I had has been addressed. Environment variety, the use of colors, lots of enemy types from the get go, double jump and dash from the get go, expanded scope of the lore. There is no time wasted at what gets thrown at you.
I think my biggest beef with Doom 2016 was how the last few levels is when it really picks up for using everything at your disposal. The first few levels are so tame compared to hell and the last stretch.
I enjoyed the hell environments wayyyyy more than any of the space station environments. Doom Eternal looks gothic as fuck at all times, which is what I want more of from Doom.
