This morning, my mom had to get mitral valve replacement surgery due to a severe narrowing of it. Luckily, she was able to do the least intensive one, TAVR, which meant she didn't need to get cut open (the valve was sent up by catheter and expanded). Just found out that she's OK, they're just monitoring to see if she needs a permanent pacemaker. She should be home on Saturday... Extremely relieved, as I was freaking out about this (not to mention she first found out a few weeks before covid hit).
