So can someone explain this Lego City thing and why Nfans are convinced it will save the system. It's multi console right? I don't get this at all
Lego Established Product (Star Wars, Batman, Etc.) games have always sold especially well on Ninty consoles and this is a U exclusive... I watched the preview vid for it on GB and the humor seemed like it'd be lame to anyone with an age of two digits or more. So basically catnip for core N enthusiasts? A Lego sandbox world doesn't seem like a bad thing to play around in honestly but as always with exclusives there's more enthusiasm than deserved for this thing.

I remember back in the Gamecube days I thought people were desperate for saying exclusives like Eternal Darkness and Star Fox Adventures were going to help the system out of last place.  I had no idea how low standards could go, and how quickly.

Lego City as an openworld game looks pretty cool, but the subject material just isn't for me.

It's all they've got right now?

I think it could be a pretty cool game (for the Lego series anyway) considering how Batman and other Lego games have been going. But I really can't imagine that anyone seriously thinks it's staying Wii U exclusive. Unless it massively bombs (or is somehow only possible with the Wii U controller*), how is this not coming out in the Fall for everything else?

I guess this is the place to ask, though I'm not sure how great Oscar knows the games, but here we go.

What are the chances of Xseed localizing the new Legend of Heroe's PS3/Vita game? I would think pretty good thanks to their relationship with Falcom and the fact that it's on systems that are alive in North America.

On the flip side I guess thanks to the amount of text and voice work supposedly this wouldn't be an easy game to localize? I don't know just an assumption.  There's also the fact that the game is part of a very connected series plotwise and according to the comment section on Siliconera(yes I know) that would keep it from coming here. I don't really see that at a problem. Would the game be impossible to enjoy without playing the other games? Maybe, It's not yet so I guess know one really knows. But I just don't see why that would be a problem in choosing to localize the game, not like America hasn't gotten it's Japanese imports out of order before.

Yeah, there's no way it's anything other than a timed exclusive.  The LEGO guys are probably sweating, though.  More than half of their sales were on Wii versions in the past... with the WiiU faceplanting, their little money factory is suddenly a lot less profitable.

I mean, provided the LEGO guys aren't already in "KILL ME" mode from being forced to make LEGO games forever.

Are these hats just hats? Like little cosmetic customization that tells everybody playing with you how much time/money you spent on the game?

Which is why Valve  regulated the privates sales of these things? It's like drug addiction for your ego.

Who wants a copy of Assassin's Creed 3 motherfuckas? Sealed copy with the shrinkwrap still on. And another copy with no shrinkwrap and a used multiplayer code (so it's worth less). If I recognize your username, I can send first. Really just looking for a trade of either Black Ops 2 or maybe something else if you have it (I haven't bought any game other than AC3 in the last 6 months).

Yes. But most of them you get from playing, crafting or pre-ordering games you wanted anyway (Deus Ex had some awesome items). They're not necessarily cash dumps.

Wii U is sub 10k this week in Japan. I'm not sure how they'll manage to jolt those sales when there are no (notable?) releases for 7-8 weeks.

I think it actually took the Vita longer to drop below 10k.

Yeah, it's really weird how this keeps happening for nintendo consoles. Not your first fucking rodeo by a longshot guys, how and why do you let this keep happening? :derp

What's the Wii Sports that's going to sell the WiiU by itself during the gap before the Nintendo franchises pour in?

GameCube had Smash and Wii had Twilight Princess at least.

Looking back at the Wii release list you do get basically every "big" franchise, Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Paper Mario, Mario Party, Mario Kart, Smash Bros in the first couple years along with the Wii Fit, Wii Play, etc. that ate up the charts. Then 2009 has Wii Sports Resort and NSMB.

GameCube actually looks pretty barren in retrospect. (Though I like a good number of those titles.)

All I know about Wii U (which admittingly isn't much) is that there's a Mario Kart and Smash Bros coming at some point along with a Wii Fit and Wii Party. And of course there will be a Zelda, Mario, etc. eventually.

EDIT: Looking at the full Wii list I can see why I was able to stick with Wii/PC for so long, there was a pretty decent clip of stuff coming out those first few years. (Factor in how most everything else I wanted was getting or was a PC release.)

It might be too late now, but they need to release several good games and make sure that the price is more attractive than the PS4's price. I think a general issue for Nintendo is that they aren't really able to support multiple systems simultaneously by themselves. For that they need some extra help from third-parties.

I think the audience that was interested in Wii Sports and Wii Fit has moved on and neither of their Wii U successors will sell particularly well. Mario Kart, Smash Brothers, and 3D Mario are still going to be as popular as ever though. If they want a system seller for a wider audience they will have to come up with something new and that will take time.
