Sony would do well to sort out the supply issue before the XB1 launches in April. Many potential customers only care about FIFA and Call of Duty. Price and availability will decide what they end up with.

There are a few Nintendo fans but they're generally beaten down to the point where they keep quiet about it.  That and there is nothing really positive to report about Nintendo.

I think this board is too apathetic about the new generation to have too many Third and Kosma style console warriors.  In fact, I think so many people here are checked out of playing consoles and handhelds period that there is no point in really trying to wage any kind of fanboy pissing matches, which is why Third and Kosma's dumbfuckery is more abrasive than usual.  It's basically PC vs. iOS/Android vs. traditional consoles/handhelds at this point as opposed to Nintendo vs. Microsoft vs. Sony.

Well, that's shipped not sold. Further, that's 640K across two platforms. I'm not enough of a sales guru to know where Sega would draw the line in terms of bomb vs. underwhelming vs. successful, but I have to think that that's at least in the underwhelming range.

In my view, its only possible for one console to do that, and I suspect even that may struggle to do it. Both are off to a strong start, trending ahead of last gen, but I think demand across the 5+ years is going to be down. Too much other shit vying for attention.
