It's an alpha, they're doing the same thing as Minecraft (buy now to fund development, get all updates), just as part of a Humble Bundle.

This bundle is a bit weak. BoDVII/Cthulu were $1 together on steam over the weekend and Eufloria has been in a ton of packs. The only interesting picks are Really Big Sky & Runespell.

Also the way they don't let you decide where your money goes is kind of hmmmmm. I never give much money to the sites running these because it seems like making profits off other people's work. I just give enough for server costs.

for some reason this new one seems shady to me. it rips off humble bundle wholesale. the company behind it isn't clear. and the games aren't really known (except the hacker game).

will still buy it and never play these games

By buying the IndieGala bundle, you purchase each game in form of a game code that is redeemable on Steam
A free Steam account is required to download and play the games in the bundle.

I don't use Steam and don't really have a desire to install it.

Don't know anything about Oil Blue (and it's not on Steam), Eets is like a million years old and has already been in all kinds of bundles, and Dino D-Day is just garbage, but it's worth it for The Blackwell Trilogy.

I started The Blackwell Legacy. You play as a socially awkward 20-something woman living in New York, and the first puzzle involves figuring out a way to talk to someone without getting too embarrassed because people are looking at you. Finally a game that speaks to me and my generation!
