just finished watching the game on LP. I fell asleep last night with the Thunder up 15 in the 4th...idly turned it back on again while having my morning coffee and then lost my mind :lol

:bow These playoffs :bow2

The Thunder's body language was just horrible for most of the 4th and OT. They took terrible shots, didn't run anything on offense. Another great argument for starting Harden. Why Brooks isn't starting Harden and Collison already, I have no idea - Perkins is killing them, and Sefolosha gives them nothing on offense. Harden is clearly a better playmaker than Westbrook, and he's a great defender too. The epic beard makes you forget but he's only 21 - no reason why he can't play more minutes.

Also bewildering - why the Mavs didn't take it harder at Collison in OT, when he had 5 fouls. If they take him out of the game, it's over. 2 low post possessions for Dirk would probably have done it, then Dirk could have murdered OKC at will from then on. Having said that, Collison worked his ass off but Dirk still had 40. :bow

Not really expecting much from the Bulls today. Rose seems to be withering (har!) under the defensive pressure, and the massive amount of energy he has had to expend so far. But  as always this year, anything could happen.

He normally recovers himself late in the game but he's just been taking a lot of bad off balance shots.

Terrible miami execution. Dumb foul by lebron. Second time he's been called for pushing off tonight. He had to know they were looking for it.

The lineup with Haslem, Miller, and the big three should be the starting lineup.

I'm from Tampa. So I'm allowed to root for the Heat.  :P

That being said I like basketball in general so I'm always fine with whoever makes it. If a team wins they deserve to win. Its that simple for me.

I think Mavs Heat would be entertaining. I would like to see Dirk get a title but then I would also like a Miami win to shove it down the throats of all the haters.

Not Dan Gilbert.  :P

Hey people can root for whoever they want. I just don't like it when they spin everything to create heroes and villains or false narratives. It's sports. Its all about winning. If a player does what it takes to win then he is doing the right thing. Leaving Cleveland was absolutely the right thing. Whether someone liked how he did it or not, well they are entitled to their opinion. If he gets the ring though that's all that matters in my book.

Rose is being exposed hard

I don't know that I would say that. He's got great defenders on him and he doesn't have any real knock down shooters to kick to. I think Chicago's offense and how reliant it is solely on him is being exposed which is a different situation. They need to add some pieces on the offensive end to diversify.

Lebron on Rose at the end of the game was really fun to watch. Lebron is like, "you want to win the game, you gotta go through me."

Lebron on Dirk in the finals is gonna be fun.

Yes, the 22 year old, 3rd year point guard is being exposed by the best player since Jordan, who has 6 inches and 80lbs on him, but still moves like a cat....yeah, right. On top of what Stoney said, the kid has to be freakin' exhausted, for one, and he's performing no worse than LeBron and Wade did LAST year when they were the main guy on a one-man team and ran into the Celtics. In fact, since he got his team to the ECF, he's arguably doing better. LeBron is the better player but that doesn't mean Rose is suddenly garbage.

Lakers gonna hire Mike Brown apparently.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/sam_amick/05/25/lakers.coach.brown/index.html?sct=hp_t2_a4&eref=sihp

And look at the size of the contract! That has to be a message to Kobe that he has to take Brown somewhat seriously.

There will be a lockout after the season ends as a new collective bargaining agreement comes in so how player movement will work will be up in the air anyway. There may end up being a franchise tag for example and the cap may/will change and become more hard.

But if players want to play together to increase their chances of victory and aren't breaking any rules in general then I have no problem with it.

I think they were talking about Howard and a few other of the bigger stars up for free agency. Im not a big basketball fan to be honest so I was kinda tuning this out as background noise on my drive this morning.

5 years ago Kobe would have been so ecstatic to be freed from the triangle, he'd have been totally on board with this. Now that he isn't so dominant one-on-one, who knows. He might well start freelancing again, but not be very successful with it. Brown obviously has a history of standing on the sidelines helpless as his best player does whatever the hell he wants on offense.

Dirk's numbers for the series.

Pts 32.2 ppg
FG: 56%
FT:97% (59 of 61)

Absolutely amazing offensive performance.
