I'm guessing your commentary will pretty much be the same after every game. So let's just consider it a given. There is no legit way in your eyes for Miami to win this series. If they ever end up with more fouls it was definitely ref bullshit. The league is fake and phony. Dallas was screwed. I get it. You're a cool poster but I just don't consider this discussion of a game because there is no where to go with it. I fundamentally disagree with your position. For me outside of this post, its the last I'll mention of it.

The Heat are a better, more athletic, and more talented team. Players like Peja, Terry, and JJ can't be counted on to do shit in the Finals.

Bottom line: The Heat have three of the four best players in the series--and they're all in their primes. How the fuck did anyone pick the Mavs (I'm a Mavs fan, and I sure didn't)?

Miami benefited from calls tonight, there's no doubt. That's the case with most home teams, and superstars in general. I didn't see anything that suggested refs won the game for them. They completely shut Dallas down.

Suggesting "grind...don't worry about the shots" is code for some nefarious conspiracy is pure projection on your part. I typically hate when people use this in an argument, but: have you ever played sports? I've heard multiple coaches say that. The only thing it's code for is "hustle hard and the shots will take care of themselves."

LeBron's been an imposing on-ball defender for a few years now, but in Cleveland they picked their spots to use him as a perimeter stopper. Now he's just plain ferocious all the time.

Also, Miami once again ruining their "games within 5 points" stat by closing out too well.

What really impresses me about Miami's defense is how it seems that nobody ever gets caught out of position. Even with the extra playoff intensity it's hard not to make a mistake on rotations every now and then, but the Heat have achieved Celtics-level discipline, while being more athletic on the wings. Scary stuff.

How so? We can agree star players create contact and expect calls, which they often receive. But I can't possibly fathom how you can believe a coach just says "time for plan b" and everyone starts flopping, throwing their arms up, etc thus resulting in an undeserved win.

Miami outplayed Dallas tonight, period. The refs helped, but the refs had nothing to do with Dallas' offense looking non-existent, Terry having a bad game, Hayword putting on his best Kwame Brown impression, and no ability to stop Haslem or Bosh.

The Heat D was playing the pick n roll pretty well, but they did leave some guys open. They just weren't hitting shots. Neither bench showed up big and that hurts Dallas more.

What do you mean? The refs were one of the reasons Dallas lost and at least altered the flow of the game in the 3rd. Dallas still lost. I just brought up factors as to why and people flipped their lid because I included the refs.

Have you totally forgotten everything that has happened so far?

Come now, the Mavs are in the Finals, having swept the Lakers. That alone should put this nonsense about the refereeing to rest. They make bad calls from time to time, and occasionally they blow big calls in big games that affect the result. They certainly do not do this in any kind of predictable fashion though.

My favorite player of all time, since I was 4 our 5 years old. Great career. I kinda wish he had gone back to Miami somehow for one final run. But the injuries/wear and tear were just too much this season for him to be relavent on the court in any way; still, would have been fun to see him on the Miami bench clowning.

Statistically (and to my eyes) Boston's starting 5 with Shaq was the best 5 man unit in the league in the regular season. He was very relevant this year until the injury.
