Any good team would have given up on him a long time ago...he seems unteachable.

He'll have a fantastic volleyball career once he washes out of the league.

And we begin.

Lin better be careful with the turnovers. Miami will eat you up if you give up a bunch of those.

TO prediction on Lin?

I say 4.  He's been getting better at keeping the ball in control.

I don't think the Knicks are the kind of squad that will give the Heat problems. There are types of teams that will. I just don't think this is one of them.

Lin's turnovers aren't that big a problem, really. When you consider the ball is in his hands all the time, and that he's learning from his mistakes. Also, he steals a lot which offsets the TOs...
As long as TEAM turnovers aren't overly high, they should be ok against the Heat. You have to pick the Heat today though.

Knicks sticking in with their rebounding and Chandler's defense. He's already caused a number of missed Lay-ups. He should have made the All-Star game.

Knicks are still in this for sure...Lin is still getting in the paint, and Chandler will blunt LeBron and Wade's impact there...plus, historically Melo always seems to win these match-ups with LeBron, like D-Will with CP3.

About what you'd expect from a rookie PG facing D like this for the first time, I guess. The prob with everything running through Lin is that if you can disrupt Lin's game, you disrupt the whole team. That said, it's still anyone's game. Maybe Melo and Stat can earn their money.

The Knicks look legit now, even when Lin is having an off night.  He's got that team and that city fired up now.  Hard to imagine they won't be in the playoffs this season.  Possibly against the Heat in the first round too!

Lin needs to slow down a bit.  He's not playing that bad.  I was really surprised by that drive where he got an offensive rebound in traffic after missing the layup.  Even though he missed, his athleticism in that play was pretty impressive.  I didn't think he had that kind of strength and explosiveness.

The biggest improvement is that the supporting cast is a lot better than last year and Lebron takes less three's. The flaws are still largely the same though.

Did you see the Sports Science bit Stoney posted, where they measured his quickness? He compares very favorably to elite PGs. Or just go look at him dunking all over John Wall on youtube...

He is definitely looking rattled. D'Antoni has a tough choice for the 2nd half - try to settle the game down with Baron (who doesn't really know what he's doing with this team either - has barely played in a year...) or stick with Lin...

The problem with Lin is that with with the pick and roll removed he has been a net loss to have on the floor tonight.

Other than those drives where he get fouled in this quarter he has been useless.

Amare was feeling it early in the game but they haven't really went back to him.

Miami has been beating teams by an average of 12pts...and that's exactly the lead they have. LeBron is more efficient than any player in history, including the best seasons of Jordan and Wilt. Fearsome.

They got in Lin's head tonight. He's had fast break opportunities and not taken them.

Overall kinda went like I expected. And its probably a good thing for Lin so it will stop the hype machine a bit and give more realistic expectations for him.

While I agree that it would help the Thunder to have an inside scorer Barkley is getting annoying with his they can't win without one. The Mavs won essentially as a jump shooting team last year. Yes they had Barea penetrating but Westbrook can penetrate.

I was bored so I was looking up random players on Wikipedia and noticed that Darko Miličić is 26. And this is his 10th season in the league. That is insane. If he actually had been a good player, he could have broken every record ever.

?

According to Wikipedia, his rookie season was 03/04, actually the second pick after LeBron. The two seasons before he played in serbia.

Watched the Knicks game on my dvr this morning. They really shut Lin down. He wasn't ready for this at all. And the Heat just completely out hustled them. :'(

I'm expecting their rematch in the Garden on April 15th to be one of the best games of the season. I hope both teams are completely healthy at that point.
